BCS Rankings: Penn State and More Underrated Ranked Teams
As long as the BCS Ranking system is in college football there are going to be complaints about the ratings.
This team is ranked too high. This team is ranked too low.
Every week their are different complaints when the ratings are released.
Here are three ranked teams that are being underrated by the BCS and the country.
Penn State Nittany Lions
After the Nittany Lions 34-24 win over Northwestern they have proved that they are a legitimate contender in the Big Ten.
The team struggled to find offense early in the season, but it appears those answers have been found.
Penn State has been showing improvement on the offensive side of the ball every week.
The defense is one of the best in the country.
Now they are 7-1 with their only loss against the No. 2 ranked Alabama Crimson Tide.
Time to start giving the top ranked team in the Big Ten a little respect.
Houston Cougars
Call me old school, but I thought the most important thing was winning.
That's all that the Houston Cougars have done, but due to the lack of strength in their schedule they are getting zero respect.
The Cougars are now 7-0 and boast the top passing attack in the nation.
Quarterback Case Keenum is breaking NCAA records this year and it's going unnoticed.
I'm not saying this team is as good as the other undefeated teams in the country, but they deserve a little more attention than they are getting.
Michigan Wolverines
Brady Hoke taking over this team may be the best thing to happen in Michigan in the last 10 years.
The team only suffered their first loss of the season last week against a very underrated Michigan State team.
This team just looks completely different from the one a year ago.
Denard Robinson is still one of the most dangerous players in college football.
The big difference is the Michigan defense. Last year, the defense was a joke. This year, it may be the strength of the team.
It will be interesting to see how Michigan responds after the loss to the Spartans a week ago.
