Arsenal News: The Latest from the Emirates
It's been a tough start to the season, but the new signings for Arsenal are slowly settling in, and the Gunners are on the up.
The win against Marseille in midweek was not the best performance, but a gritty one that saw the away team grind out a 1-0 victory. That made it five wins out of six—a sign that Arsene Wenger's men are finally improving on their poor run of form.
A win against Stoke tomorrow would put the Gunners on 13 points, and they would leapfrog those around them and be just two points behind Liverpool for fifth place.

The so-called "doom and gloom" that people were putting Arsenal in is slowly vanishing.
On the inside of the club, Thomas Vermaelen has signed a new deal. This is great news for the fans, if the Belgian can stay injury-free for the rest of the season.
Goal.com reports that Theo Walcott is next in line to sign a new deal, with Robin Van Persie deciding to wait until the end of the season. Arshavin is also in line to sign, but the Russian is not seen as a priority, due to his age.
Arsene Wenger is now freely talking about transfer targets, according to GiveMeFootball.com. Expect the Arsenal manager to be active in the January transfer window.
Lucho Gonzalez has been linked to Arsenal and is seen as a potential target. Yoann Gourcouff could be loaned in to give the Gunners more creativity in midfield. Loic Remy was mentioned in one report and this is what Wenger said:
"Remy improves all the time. Reminds me of a young Thierry: his runs and the speed at which he plays."
Exciting times at the Emirates mean nobody really knows what the future holds. But, this could be a sign of things to change within the transfer window, despite Gazidis stating the manager will not be able to splash.
Wenger is the boss!
From my own perspective, Valbuena was full of energy, and created problems against Arsenal in Europe. He would be an ideal signing, with Arshavin struggling to find his form.
If Arsenal needed a defender, then Fabricio Coloccini would fit in perfectly.
Remy and Gourcouff would be the ideal addition, and Arsenal would be fully equipped to charge for that Champions League spot.
