Biggest Storyline: Avoiding a Hangover
City just won their first ever EUFA Champions League match courtesy of a last-second goal from Sergio Aguero. One of the newest members to the club, Aguero has been a revelation in place of disgruntled captain Carlos Tevez.
Not only will they have this win in the back of their minds, but the Wolves match comes on the heels of the Manchester Derby.
City will travel to Old Trafford on the 23rd of October and put their two-point lead on the line against the defending champion Red Devils.
Whether they win or lose, City cannot afford a hangover against the Wolves in Molineux Stadium.
Wolves Player to Watch: Steven Fletcher, FW
Fletcher single-handedly accounts for 50 percent of the Wolves' goals this year.
That isn't saying much considering they've scored only six goals, but it is what it is. He's only started in five matches due to injury but should be fit for this match.
When on the pitch he is the best option the Wolves have in making a dent in City's net.
City Player to Watch: Edin Dzeko, FW
The 25-year-old Yugoslavian is one of the top playmakers for City. When squads key on shutting down Sergio Aguero, they have to deal with Dzeko or Mario Balotelli.
In six league games this year he has six goals on 21 shots and one assist.
Aguero is always worth watching, but so is Dzeko.
What They're Saying
In ESPN Soccer Net's recap of City's first UEFA win over Villarreal they talked about what City has to do to maintain their level of play:
"A vital win means City's trip to Naples, for their fifth group game, looks pivotal. If they are to prosper there, Mancini's men will need to be more clinical and cut out the errors that are costing them goals.
"
This can be attributed to every match going forward.
Prediction: Manchester City 3, Wolves 0
