Fantasy Football Week 7 Rankings: Calvin Johnson and 3 WR's That Will Score Big

T.J. McaloonOct 18, 2011

Every week there is a wide receiver that comes out and has a HUGE week that single-handily wins you your fantasy football matchup. There are only a select few of these receivers, and hopefully you own them.

If you do not happen to have the luxury of having one of these three receivers on your team, then you have to make a point to trade for them now, before the trade dead line hits.

Hopefully for you, the owner of one of these three receivers is in need of a position that you are very well equipped at, as they can very well be the difference between a good season and championship season this year.

Calvin Johnson, Detroit Lions

Last week, against the San Francisco 49ers, Johnson had a good game in regards to receptions (seven) and receiving yards (113), but was held without a touchdown for the first time this year.

This week, against the 27th-ranked pass defense of the Atlanta Falcons, Johnson owners can expect the receiver to find his way back into the end zone.

The touchdown for “Megatron” will go nicely with another seven to 10 receptions and 125-150 receiving yard day; which will result in a nice 20-plus point day for you.

Mike Wallace, Pittsburgh Steelers

Mike Wallace has been the only constant fantasy football player on the Steelers this year. Through six games, Wallace has had double-digit point totals in five of his six games, with two games of 18 and 20 points.

Last week against the Jacksonville Jaguars, Wallace had a touchdown, which is good, but only had two catches and 76 yards, which is bad-to-okay.

Pittsburgh wideout can expect another touchdown or two, more catches and a higher yard total anywhere in the range of seven to 10 catches and 100-135 yards.

Greg Jennings, Green Bay Packers

Greg Jennings is still the main receiver on the Packers roster. Last week, he led the team in receptions with six, and would have led the team in yards with 82 if Jordy Nelson didn’t have his long touchdown.

This week, Jennings and the Packers have the awful Minnesota Vikings, who gave up a big receiving day to the Bears’ Devin Hester.

Jennings owners can expect another six to eight receptions,100-120 yards and a touchdown or two.

All three receivers that will help you to fantasy football domination this week.
