Week 6 Fantasy Football Projections: Greg Little and 3 Sleepers To Pick Up

Michael MillOct 13, 2011

Another week is down and new sleepers have emerged with the right to start in Week 6 of the 2011 NFL season.

Knowing what sleepers to start and what studs to sit is often the difference in a good fantasy owner and an average one.

Here are three sleepers to pick up in Week 6 of the season.

QB Colt McCoy (Cleveland Browns)

Colt McCoy is still learning what it takes to be a starting quarterback in the NFL. He struggles with consistency at times, but when he is on he can be great.

In Week 4 he ripped apart the Titans defense, which is ranked among the best in the league, for 350 passing yards.

After a week off, the Browns now look to take on the Oakland Raiders.

The Browns are going to look to increase the workload of Peyton Hillis, but that is no reason to overlook McCoy.

The Raiders are struggling against the run, so Hillis will likely be their primary target this week. That could open up things for McCoy.

RB Jackie Battle (Kansas City Chiefs)

A starting running back has stepped forward in Kansas City after the loss of Jamaal Charles.

Last week against the Colts, Jackie Battle ran for a career high 119 yards. Battle, in his fifth NFL season, had only 155 rushing yards in his career up until last week.

Now he will likely be the primary back for the remainder of the season.

Todd Haley has had nothing but good things to say about Battle.

The Chiefs are on a bye week, so obviously Battle is not a start for this week.

However, that means he will likely remain in free agency. Take the opportunity to pick him up now before somebody else does.

Running back is a scarce position in fantasy leagues. Sacrifice picking up a bench player for one week in order to have an advantage the rest of the year.

WR Greg Little (Cleveland Browns)

The Cleveland Browns traded their pick in the draft, passing on Julio Jones and getting Colt McCoy a top tier receiver.

Their reasoning was because they felt they could get a steal in a later round.

That guy was Greg Little.

Little has been announced as the starter coming out of Cleveland's bye week. He is coming off a six-catch, 57-yard performance in Week 4.

For the Browns' starting receiver, seven catches and 70 yards each week for the rest of the season may not be a stretch.
