NFL Rumors: Don't Expect Carson Palmer on an NFL Field This Season
If Carson Palmer is going to be traded it will not be until this offseason. The Bengals may as well place Palmer on the IR with an acute spite affliction.
They will not trade Palmer unless a team gives them a spectacular offer, and no team is going to make a spectacular offer.
It is a shame that Palmer will miss a season where he is healthy enough to play, but this is what happens when egos get involved.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Since saying in the offseason that he would retire if he wasn't traded, Palmer has stuck to his guns. And in the meantime, Bengals owner Mike Brown has not flinched. He is not the kind of person that is going to be bullied into a decision.
It is going to take a very worthwhile package before Brown gets more value from the trade than he does forcing Palmer to end his career prematurely. Brown added some tremendous insight on his attitude towards this situation recently.
Mike Brown, as quoted on ESPN: "I don't have a thing to say about that."
And that was it. Nine little words, and he done commenting. It is clear that Brown enjoys his position of power over a player that tried to make a power play on him.
And it is an easy decision for him. He has nothing to gain by trading Palmer now. Trades in the NFL are almost always player for draft picks. That means any compensation the Bengals receive for Palmer would have zero impact on this season for the Bengals.
Palmer is likely to have more value just before or after next year's draft as teams decide if they want to draft a QB, or if they miss out on drafting the QB they wanted.
