NFL Picks Week 6: NFC East Race Will Become Much More Clear After Sunday
At the beginning of the season, no division was easier to predict than the NFC East.
The Eagles have been by far the division's best regular season team over the last decade. They were the 2010 champions, they added a host of talent and nobody else seemed to improve much.
But division titles aren't won in the preseason. If you need more proof, try this on for size.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Conventional wisdom would have suggested that the NFC East would finish in the following order:
| 1.. | Philadelphia Eagles |
| 2. | Dallas Cowboys |
| 3. | New York Giants |
| 4. | Washington Redskins |
Now, five weeks into the season (four for the Redskins and Cowboys), take a look at the standings.
| 1. | Washington Redskins |
| 2. | New York Giants |
| 3. | Dallas Cowboys |
| 4. | Philadelphia Eagles |
You might notice that the preseason expectations are just a little different than the current standings. Still, there is a lot of uncertainty as to whether or not the division will finish that way. This week will go a long way in clarifying it.
Why do I feel that way? Well, I feel that every team other than the Redskins will lose. Let's take a quick look at what they are all facing.
Washington Redskins/Philadelphia Eagles
These two teams play each other, so let's predict them both right now. I do think that the Eagles will break this funk eventually, but I don't like their chances against the Redskins coming off of a bye week.
Even if I am right on the other two games, if I am wrong on this one, then this situation will still be a mess.
But I don't see that happening. I see the Eagles falling into a deeper hole.
New York Giants
The one good thing is that the Giants are at home, and the Bills are much more beatable away from Buffalo.
Still, the injury-plagued Giants will have a hard time containing Ryan Fitzpatrick and the Bills offense.
When the Giants have the ball, they are going to have a hard time avoiding turnovers.
Dallas Cowboys
The Patriots are beginning to show much better all-around form, especially on offense. They will still have a hard time against Dallas' defense, but a shootout with the Patriots in New England is hardly a winning scenario.
Now, if I am right about all of these games, this Sunday would be the time to buy stock in the Redskins.
