Week 6 Fantasy Football Projections: Arian Foster and 3 Stars with Bad Matchups
Generally, you start your fantasy football stars at all cost because they have the ability to explode no matter who they are matched up against.
But there are some rare instances when it's beneficial to sit your stars, as difficult as it is, because you are blindly hoping for them to reverse a trend.
Arian Foster of the Houston Texans falls into this category in Week 6, as do two more fantasy football stars.

Projecting Every NFL Team's Starting Lineup 🔮

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Here they are.
3. Arian Foster, RB, Houston Texans
After a disappointing start marred by injury, Arian Foster has exploded in the last two weeks, showing glimpses of the top fantasy player in 2010. He's scored over 18 fantasy points in each of his last two games, and even racked up 116 receiving yards against the Oakland Raiders in Week 5.
However, Foster faces the Baltimore Ravens and their vaunted rush defense in Week 6, and that generally spells disaster even for the most trusted fantasy stars.
The Ravens have given up a mere 3.2 yards per carry and one rushing touchdown through four games so far, and they limited New York Jets running back Shonn Greene to 23 yards on 10 carries in Week 4.
This is not the week to start Foster.
2. Reggie Wayne, WR, Indianapolis Colts
I've always loved Reggie Wayne as a player, a receiving threat that comes with the complete package. So it only figures that one of the few times I find him on my fantasy team that he has Curtis Painter throwing him the ball.
I originally thought that even with a Kerry Collins/Curtis Painter duo throwing Wayne the ball, he would still rack up points because he would be given plenty of opportunities. But not only have his numbers dropped significantly this season, Painter seems more comfortable throwing the ball to Pierre Garcon than him. That's no way to treat a player who has touted you ahead of Collins from Day One.
Wayne hasn't scored in double digits since Week 1, and there's no reason to think he will against a surprisingly solid Cincinnati Bengals secondary. The Bengals are only giving up 191 passing yards per game this season, third best in the league.
Look elsewhere for receiving options in Week 6.
1. Steven Jackson, RB, St. Louis Rams
Not only has the aging Steven Jackson been hobbled with injuries this season, he gained only 45 yards on 17 carries in his first game given significant action in Week 4.
Jackson and the 0-4 Rams face the Green Bay Packers in Wisconsin in Week 6, and that's never a good thing. The Packers are giving up 3.8 yards per carry so far this season, and they'll be flying to the ball at home.
There's really no logical reason to start Jackson in Week 6.
