LeBron James: Why Miami Heat Superstar Is Regaining NBA Fans' Love During Lockout
Love him or hate him, Miami Heat superstar LeBron James is doing his best to regain the love he once had with NBA fans. Most don’t have to buy it, or even take it in to consideration, but LeBron haters have to respect what he has done during the NBA lockout.
Whether he is playing football at St. Vincent-St. Mary High School, James’ former stomping grounds, or scheduling events like the basketball game held on Saturday night, he is doing his best to look like a respectable guy.
Let’s face it, James regrets “The Decision” from two summers ago. He didn’t know how to handle all the hatred he received. He crumbled under all the pressure and criticism he received.
He isn’t that “cutthroat” type of player that is needed to be a “villain.” He is a nice guy with a good head on his shoulders that made a few mistakes.
Look at Kobe Bryant. People hated him, but now there are probably the same amount of haters as lovers. People forget the past if there is an apology.
When James took the microphone and addressed the crowd, he made it clear that he wanted the game to be back for the fans because they deserve to see the game. He made it known that he wants the game to be back because of the people in the seats.
With the NBA season in jeopardy, or at least a few weeks of it, players are desperate to play the game that they love. They are willing to do whatever it takes.
David Stern continues to stay strong with his words and commitments. This is a completely different story than the NFL lockout.
The outcome may be, too.
