Aaron Rodgers: Green Bay Packers Quarterback Ignores Attack by Brett Favre
Brett Favre doesn't play quarterback in the NFL anymore. This is reality, and the media, you and I, and everyone else needs to come to grips with that.
No. 4 isn't coming back onto the field (although the Vikings could certainly use him), and he's not going to stunt another young QB's growth any longer.
Plain and simple, he's now a retired NFL player with a big mouth.

Favre was recently interviewed in Atlanta by 790 The Zone, and his words have sparked a rather curious controversy across the nation.
ESPN's report quotes Favre as saying:
"He's got tremendous talent, he's very bright and he got a chance to kind of sit and watch and he saw successful teams do it right. And so he just kind of fell into a good situation. And on top of that, he's a good player. I don't think anyone would question now the talent around him is even better than when I was there. So I really was surprised it took him so long. Really, the early part of last season, it hadn't quite clicked yet and I didn't know if it would. I just figured at some point, when they hit their stride, they're going to be hard to beat. And that's what happened.
"
Rodgers, when asked about the comments, shrugged it off like he does defensive linemen trying to sack him:
"I'm just going to say that I was really proud of our team. It takes 53 guys to win a championship and we had the right recipe last year and we're trying to do the same thing this season.
"
The Packers' new star quarterback only needed two years under center before he won his first Super Bowl. In what was his third year as a starter, Rodgers was arguably the second-best quarterback in the NFL behind Tom Brady and won the Super Bowl MVP.
The only reason it took Rodgers so long is because Favre was still hanging onto the dream in Green Bay for two extra seasons.
Had Favre retired or moved on to another team for a few more unsuccessful seasons earlier, Rodgers might have more Super Bowls already to his name.
The Packers and Rodgers don't need to hear this nonsense from the finally retired Favre, but that is simply how he is.
Rodgers handled the situation the best way possible, and this should disappear in a few day's time.
