NFL Picks Week 5: Buffalo Bills and 3 Teams That Will Underachieve
Even the best teams in the National Football League underachieve every once in a while.
Just look at the New England Patriots against the Buffalo Bills in Week 3.
Of course, there are also the teams that aren't good anyway and underachieve regardless.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Here are three teams bound to flop in Week 5.
Jacksonville Jaguars
The Jaguars can't underachieve much more than their 1-3 start would suggest, but they'll make the extra effort on Sunday against the Cincinnati Bengals.
Rookie quarterback Blaine Gabbert is figuring out what it's like to be thrown into the league as a rookie. Through three games, Gabbert has completed 47 percent of his passes and fumbled the ball three times. Against the defense of the New Orleans Saints, Gabbert went 16-of-42 for 196 yards, one touchdown and one interception.
Gabbert doesn't have the No. 1 receiver he covets after Mike Sims-Walker's departure, and the Bengals defense is actually pretty good.
Another disappointment. This time at home.
Buffalo Bills
Ryan Fitzpatrick and the Bills have surprised thus far, but they were embarrassed by the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 4, falling 23-20.
After a 3-0 start, everyone was calling the Bills the next big thing. Heck, ESPN had them at No. 6 overall in its Week 4 power rankings.
But what people must realize is that this is an up-and-coming team, meaning it's bound to endure some pitfalls throughout the season. The Bills are still developing, and they face the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 5.
The Eagles may have suffered an embarrassing loss to the San Francisco 49ers in Week 4, but I expect them to rebound in a big way and show what they're made of in Week 5.
San Francisco 49ers
Speaking of the 49ers...San Francisco pulled off one of the stunners of the season in Week 4 against the Eagles, coming back from a 20-3 deficit to win, 24-23.
Sure, the Eagles collapsed to an extent, but the win also highlighted the team's defense, which is much improved after adding some pieces in the secondary.
But I'm still not convinced in the 49ers' offense. They're executing a West Coast offense, which should help quarterback Alex Smith, but I still don't believe in Smith as the answer and it's only a matter of time before teams start challenging him to throw the ball downfield while closing in on the short crossing routes.
The 49ers play the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 5, and they will lose against a good secondary.
