Browns Have Six Degrees Of Separation
Dear Browns Backers,
jinxed - " A condition or period of bad luck that appears to have been caused by a specific person or thing"
Not to add insult to injury but I guess Derek Anderson will never go into show business— he'd take the term "break a leg" a little too seriously.

Colts Release Kenny Moore

Projecting Every NFL Team's Starting Lineup 🔮

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
But look on the bright side at least the Browns can count to six, and with Sundays 10-6 loss was the third time this season that Cleveland has scored only six points.
Browns fans had better get those "Kenny, Kenny chants" ready! It seems that the Browns and Giants WR Plaxico Burress may need to share a therapist because they both love to self-inflicted pain by way of shooting themselves in the foot.
Just when this disaster of a season couldn't get ANY worse, it just did. With the Browns truly acting like the dogs they are, they might as well lie down and play dead because this season is now lost. Lame duck coach, Romeo Crennel, better have the "Make A Wish' foundation on speed dial!
If I would have told you before this game that the Browns would hold future first-ballot Hall of Fame QB, Peyton Manning to only 125 yards passing and intercept him twice you would think the Browns might have upset the Colts, right?
Or if they held the prolific Colts offense to only three points at halftime you would think the Browns might have a chance right? In a game that was as more boring than a snail grand prix in Cabo San Lucas, both offenses were very lackluster and unimpressive to put it mildly.
Maybe the Browns should add vanilla to their color scheme because with the boring and VERY predictable offense that was on display they might need to change that orange on those helmets to sherbet.
I guess Jamal Lewis' talk with Chud went well because the browns feed him the ball early and often, in fact the Browns ran eight straight runs at one point before Anderson attempted a throw.
I'm not sure if this was by design or that the coaches have lost confidence in DA's throwing, or if it was even the weather but it was clear that they didn't have any confidence in Anderson and when he did try to throw his passes were often short three to seven yard routes.
And for once this is coming from a person that treats the Browns defense like a dangling piñata, I have to say the defense held its own throughout the game including a impressive goal-line stand to go along with two interceptions.
In fact, the defense caused three turnovers. But, thanks to the clueless offense, the Browns were only able to come away with THREE points! The defense held Peyton Manning (you know, Eli's big brother!) to a season low in passing yards and for only the tenth time in his career was he held under 150 yards passing. If you think this is some weird deja vu, the last time the Colts failed to score a TD was a 9-6 win against you guessed it, Cleveland!
So now that the Browns are down to their final four games and Crennel can start putting his house up for sale, maybe the Browns should hold walk-on tryouts for second stringers, it couldn't hurt at this point.
Maybe they should also hold open tryouts for wide receivers considering the dropsies that Braylon has been having. And with Anderson likely out for the year with a MCL and seeing Winslow walk to the locker room, this season is officially over and might as well see what we have for 2009.
If I'm Savage or Crennel I would search the waiver wire, maybe Travis Wilson is available, and while we are at it, we might as well shut down Braylon Edwards for the year and simply de-activate him, his drops are an embarrassment and it appears his confidence is gone; we can start Steve Sanders while we are at it.
Before I officially write the first paragraph in the 2008 obituary, let me first say that Derek Anderson will be a good starting QB somewhere else, but his inconsistency and costly interceptions cost him with the fans and media did him in.
I find it so blatantly unfair that he throws picks and gets ripped on by fans, but yet The Golden Boy throws two picks and no one says anything!
And in Quinn's defense, he hasn't had enough game time or reps to get comfortable. While we have had only three games to evaluate him, the jury is still out. For Savage's sake he better pray for a mistrial because we have two QB's who BOTH stink with respective completion percents of 50.6 and 49.9.
Whoever the new coach/GM/owner is will make the final call on whom the starting QB is and such uncertainty and turmoil is why the Browns will forever be stuck in a double helix cycle of mediocrity.
What we have in front of us now is a team that has all but resigned to its fate and quit on the season and coach and you can just see it from the body language on the sidelines, the hunched heads, hands on hips, and wandering eyes tell me that this organization is in line for a serious house cleaning and the final call is from Randy Lerner,
But WHEN the losses pile up over the next few weeks at Tennessee, Philly and Pittsburgh on the road, the Browns will be looking at a 5-11 debacle and if Crennel loses AT home to Cincinnati I look for him to resign OR be fired on the spot.
Whatever the case maybe, this team has nothing else but pride and draft picks to play for now, although it would be nice to spoil Pittsburgh's last game of the season, the Steelers will have the AFC North locked up by then, that is if the Baltimore Raven's don't lose,
The Browns are a team stuck in the dark abyss of disarray, and failed expectations that were set way too high because of a one year flash in the pan of a season, but when faced with the challenging burden of playing with the big dogs, these puppies looked and played like strays.
Barking Proudly,
Dawgfather.
