Fantasy Football Week 4: Nate Washington and 3 Unheralded Must Start Players

Michael DixonOct 1, 2011

Just having someone on your fantasy team is only a part of the battle. To get the benefit of their talents, you also have to have them  on your active roster.

These are guys who are currently being started in fewer than half of ESPN leagues. Unless you have some incredible talent at their positions, you might want to reconsider that strategy.

Washington has been a PPR giant this year. He's caught at least six passes in every game he's played. Now, with an ineffective Chris Johnson and an injured Kenny Britt, someone on Tennessee's offense has to get the ball.

Washington has been a strong option for most of the year, with Britt on the field. It's hard to see his production dropping.

I also see the Titans playing a lot of games from behind. That will lead to a lot of passing. They may not have the quarterback to do well, but that's not your problem. Washington will get plenty of action.

A.J. Green

When you look at how much Buffalo's defense has struggled this year, receivers going against them are always good candidates for strong days.

I also see the Bengals playing from behind in this one. Andy Dalton will be doing a lot of passing. When you consider Buffalo's defense, a couple of big plays aren't exactly far-fetched.

Receiver is a deep position, but don't be afraid of starting the rookie. The potential payoff is massive.

Jason Hanson

Yes, kickers are important. They are barely worth drafting, but their point totals can make the difference in a tough matchup.

If you saw Monday night's game, you know that Dallas' defense is a little prone to giving up field goals. Detroit's offense moves the ball much better than Washington's too, so the opportunities will be there for both field goals and extra points.

Don't neglect the importance of a good kicker. If you have a good one, you can pull an upset against a team that has better skill players.
