NFL Picks Week 4: Which Teams Will Rebound from Week 3 Losses?

John RozumJun 7, 2018

During the course of an NFL season it's extremely important for a team to bounce back after a loss.

For one thing, it proves that the loss immediately went behind you, you learned from the mistakes, and now you're a better team.

It also displays growth and development, which is crucial because then a team has experienced and mature players who are more prepared to contend for a championship.

All that said, here are five teams that bounce back in Week 4.

Philadelphia Eagles

This week the Eagles play host to the confident San Francisco 49ers, but Philly is a team eager to regain their cynics trust.

The 49ers are 2-1, but both wins came against Seattle and Cincinnati, whereas the loss was at home to Dallas.

So, despite the winning record, it's not all that impressive but then again, Philly hasn't been too impressive either.

However, playing their second straight home game in as many weeks, the Eagles know this is a must win game, and they simply have too much talent on both sides for the 49ers to matchup with.

It's not a blowout, and it is rather ugly, but The City of Brotherly Love takes one over The Bay Area.

Chicago Bears

Heading into Week 4 the Bears are a vulnerable team facing the better-than-their-record-indicates Carolina Panthers.

Rookie QB Cam Newton has been solid through three games and Jay Cutler has disappointed.

But, Chicago knows they need this game because of the rising Lions and dominate Packers.

A loss here completely ruins The Windy City's confidence. So with their backs against the wall, Chicago proves that they are the better team.

RB Matt Forte gets a lot of touches, and the defense gets back on track after two straight bad games.

Minnesota Vikings

Although they're 0-3, the Vikings have lost to the Bucs', Chargers, and Lions, all of whom have a combined record of 7-2.

RB Adrian Peterson will run all over an injured Kansas City defense, while The Purple People Eaters completely blank a Chiefs' offense that's only scored 27 points in three games (17 of which came last week).

K.C. is too banged up and Peterson is rolling about as good as any RB in the league right now.

Atlanta Falcons

Two tough road losses in Chicago and Tampa  Bay have the Falcons sitting at 1-2, but Week 4 puts them in The Great Northwest against the Seattle Seahawks.

Sure, the Seahawks play better at home, however, Atlanta is a lot better than Arizona on both sides. Seattle, meanwhile, has a respectable defense but no offense.

It will be close early, on as Atlanta has trouble starting off in road games, but with too many offensive weapons and a decent pass rush, the Falcons pull away by the middle of the third quarter.

St. Louis Rams

Despite being 0-3, the St. Louis Rams still have a lot of young potential to get back in the NFC West title race.

For one, it's too weak of a division not to, and secondly, they host the skeptical Washington Redskins in Week 4.

Even though the 'Skins started out 2-0, the road loss in Dallas exploited them and QB Rex Grossman.

Yes they have a solid defense, but the Rams have just enough to contend as long as Washington doesn't get out to an early lead like Baltimore.

In addition, St. Louie's pass rush will be lead by DE Chris Long, and although the Redskins held off Dallas' DeMarcus Ware for the most part, it was apparent that Grossman was slowly losing protections as the game went on.

That will carry over on the road again this week, and the Rams get win No. 1.
