College Football Recruiting 2012: The Top 4 Wavering Commitments
Recruits make their selections, and many of them appear to be solid in their commitments. Then there's some of them that slowly but surely become uncertain.
After they become unsure in their commitments, they begin to waver. For this read, we're going to give you the top four wavering players that are committed.
Don't waver about reading this, though. Commit and get after it!
4. Jelani Hamilton, DE
1 of 4Hamilton is committed to Miami and says he still is pretty solid to the Hurricanes. Yet, he also says he is now very interested in LSU and North Carolina.
With the Canes looking at some serious sanctions coming their way in the next year or so, many recruits are slowly starting to look for trips elsewhere. Trent Taylor just de-committed to leave for Tennessee today.
Could Hamilton be next?
3. Dante Fowler, DE
2 of 4Fowler is a 6'3", 240-pound DE prospect that has been committed to Florida State since about last January or so. However, rumors of him going to Florida just won't stop.
He continuously flirts with the Gator program, and now, according to Scout.com, he will visit Gainesville three separate times this season. Fowler says he will see UF play Alabama, Vanderbilt and Florida State.
How can you be committed to a school and be slated to visit their archrival more times than them, and not be on this list?
2. Brionte Dunn, RB
3 of 4"I'm just really confused right now." Dunn tells Scout.com in regards to his recruitment. He's been pledged to Ohio State since his junior year, but that's highly in question.
Dunn just got back from an unofficial trip from Penn State and says he definitely will take an official to Happy Valley. He also will likely trip to Michigan as well.
Don't worry, Buckeye fans. Dunn says he will officially visit Columbus, too. However, his confusion after being committed for so long does not bode well.
1. Arik Armstead, OT/DE
4 of 4I wouldn't say Armstead is "wavering" per se, but he's committed to USC and is still going to take some trips. Armstead used to openly talk about getting down to Troy soon, but now he says he wants see Notre Dame and Alabama.
Interestingly enough, Armstead will trek to South Bend on Oct. 2, when the Irish host none other than USC.
Tuscaloosa will see him in town on Nov. 4. USC is going to have to work hard to keep Armstead en route to Los Angeles.
