Floyd Mayweather: Money May Is Beating Ortiz and De La Hoya to a Pulp on Twitter

Gabe ZaldivarSep 28, 2011

Floyd Mayweather does not give refunds, exchanges or returns.

After Victor Ortiz was sent to the canvas by Floyd Mayweather in a controversial bout, the fighter's promoter has taken to Twitter to demand a rematch.

Oscar de le Hoya, who runs Golden Boy Promotions, let his thoughts on the fight known to the world through the magic of Twitter.

As you will see, what starts as a promoter trying to instigate talk about a rematch quickly devolves into Floyd Mayweather flapping his gums on Twitter, countering everything de la Hoya has with a more fierce social media punch.

Here is boxing smack brought to you by the Twitter feeds of Oscar de la Hoya and Floyd Mayweather.

That is when things started to get a bit out of hand. De la Hoya tweeted the one thing that Mayweather didn't want to hear. He dropped a cheap shot blast, giving Mayweather cause to up the ante on his posts.

Here is a tweet laced with an f-bomb and great deal of venom. If you have virgin eyes that do not like expletives, just know that Mayweather takes exception to the Golden Boy whining.

I think he ends the debate on this call back of some very dark days for Oscar de la Hoya.

The tweet has a picture of a drunk de la Hoya dressed in drag and bent over. As we all know, there is no coming back from a salvo like that.

The fact of the matter is Floyd Mayweather is on a different plateau than Victor Ortiz as a boxer. It also seems he is an upper echelon from talking smack from de la Hoya. Both fighter and promoter need to go silent for the nest few weeks.

Ortiz was given his shot, but this boxing fan has seen enough to make an assessment of his ability. Ortiz is not an elite fighter.

The way he quit in the ring against Marcos Maidana was strike one. He then kissed and hugged his mortal enemy before dropping his gloves leaving him defenseless. That was strike two.

I am not one to defend Floyd Mayweather, but I have seen enough of Victor Ortiz for the time being. I can wait a little longer before strike three.
