Carson Palmer: Bengals Ineptitude Reaches New Levels by Ignoring Dolphins Offer
Another day, another chance to rip the Bengals.
After rejecting multiple offers to trade disgruntled QB Carson Palmer, itโs that time again to reject another one.
Owner Mike Brown wanted to make a statement. He wanted to make his franchise player suffer as much as possible.

How Garrett Trade Shakes Up Draft โ๏ธ

Ranking Biggest NFL Trades Ever ๐ฒ
As three weeks of the NFL season hit the history books, Palmer is still sitting at home in California.
Now the latest reports that a desperate Miami Dolphins team was offering a 2012 third-round pick for Palmer have been extinguished. A high-ranking club official told Joe Reedy of the Cincinnati Enquirer that there was โzero truthโ to the rumor.
In August the Bengals may have been able to finagle a first-round pick out of the deal, which would potentially have been a top 10 pick after the โFins 0-3 start.
Reedy lists multiple other reasons why the trade isnโt going to happen:
โThe โFins are $8M under the cap, Palmerโs prorated salary after three games is just under $9M.
โThe Bengals' woes are almost rivaled by Miami at this point, with both their coach and G.M. on the hot seat.
โThis gem: โItโs four weeks into the season, which in Brownโs world is not the appropriate length of punishment for someone who decided he would rather retire than play here.โ
Itโs ridiculous how Brown can hold a personal grudge at this point. Fans are siding with Palmer, a guy that quit on their team, because they really do feel bad for him.
Since 1991, Brown has shown fans he really couldn't care less about wins and losses. The only thing that truly matters is his bank account.
The Bengals' franchise has the worst medical staff in the league, they have the lightest scouting department and decided to keep around a coach in Marvin Lewis who has a grand total of zero playoff wins since taking over in 2003.
While Palmer is stuck wasting a year of his life and watching teams around the league fail with horrible QBs, he knows itโs better than sticking his neck out for a franchise that couldn't care less about the divisional standings in the AFC North.
Ignore every Palmer story involving a potential trade until 2012 when Brown will finally decide to let Palmer out of timeout.
