Bruins backup goaltender Tuukka Rask made 31 saves, allowing just one goal in a very good performance. Rask will certainly get more playing time this season with the Bruins trying to limit Tim Thomas' games, in order to keep him fresh for the end of the season and playoff run.
The Canadiens fielded a better lineup tonight than they did Sunday night. Star goalie Carey Price started in net for Montreal, stopping 30 of 32 shots while his strongest defenseman, PK Subban, did not play.
Jordan Caron followed his strong game against the Canadiens Sunday night with another impressive showing Monday, and tallied an assist on Seguin's goal. He is making a strong case for increased playing time this season, and his development will be crucial to the Bruins' depth on offense all year.
Bruins captain and defenseman Zdeno Chara, who played against the Candiens on Sunday night, did not play Monday.
Boston will play the Ottawa Senators in their next preseason game on Thursday night at the TD Garden.
