Percy Harvin was unable to return to the game against the Detroit Lions after vomiting in the trash can. There has been no official word about the nature of the incident, but Harvin has a history of migraines. I am not a doctor, but migraines have been known to cause nausea.
Harvin's history with migraines is very extensive. He has missed games, practices and other events due to this condition. The biggest problem with migraines is that they are unpredictable. This posses a problem for a football player, as a migraine during a game immediately takes him off the field.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
NFL players have a hard enough time remaining healthy, but adding migraines to the equation is more worrisome. The unknown of Harvin's situation makes it impossible to count on him. Today was a great example of how the unreliability of Harvin impacts the Vikings.
The Vikings were in a heated battle with the Detroit Lions when Harvin was forced out of the lineup. He was not able to contribute, as the Vikings attempted to avoid overtime. His absence made it easier for the Lions to defender the Vikings offense.
Harvin is the Vikings' best receiving threat. He has the quickness to be effective in space while also stretching the field. Without Harvin, defenses have little to fear from the Vikings offense. It also allows them to put more men in the box to slow down Adrian Peterson.
The Vikings felt they didn't need to retain the services of Sidney Rice. This put more pressure on Percy Harvin to be a big time playmaker. However, they should have considered the fact that Harvin is no guarantee to remain in the lineup.
It wouldn't be a stretch to label Harvin as injury prone. The unpredictable nature of his migraines puts Harvin constantly at risk.
