Randy Moss: Why the Giants Are the Only Team That Makes Sense for Return
The New York Giants have issues at the wide receiver position.
What a shocking surprise.
Randy Moss is still retired, but many have speculated that he would eventually be back this year.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Adam Schefter, doing as he does, reported this morning that Moss would be open to a return with a winning team.
Of the mentioned teams, the Giants are the ones that make sense.
The Jets don't need Moss and have enough trouble spreading the ball around as it is. With Santonio Holmes, Dustin Keller, Plaxico Burress, LaDainian Tomlinson, Derrick Mason and Shonn Greene all needing touches there is no room for Moss.
The Patriots don't want to go backwards, and bringing in Moss would do exactly that. Coach Bill Belichick went out to get Chad Ochocinco this summer and doesn't need Moss' personality in that locker room as well.
Even under Belichick's watch it isn't worth it.
The Cowboys, like the Giants, have worrisome injuries at the position. Miles Austin and Dez Bryant form one of the best wide receiving tandems in the league, but have trouble staying on the field.
While Moss could be an emergency option for the team, he's not what they need right now.
The Eagles and Bears are two very interesting options that could use him, but don't need him. If the Bears ever want to see production out of Roy Williams, adding Moss to the team does not help.
Philadelphia has spent enough money this summer as it is, and don't need another superstar name to add to the "Dream Team."
The Giants desperately need veteran help at receiver. Victor Cruz is a fun player to root for, but he cannot be the Giants' No. 2 receiver in place of Mario Manningham. Domenik Hixon is out for the year again, Manningham and Nicks are as likely to drop a ball and concuss themselves as they are to stay healthy, and quarterback Eli Manning has nobody else he can trust.
There is no tight end in the Giants offense this year and fans and analysts alike have been screaming for them to run the ball more since the season started.
Bringing in Moss would give Eli a Plaxico-like safety net that he was so accustomed to just a few years ago. If the Giants can establish a legitimate and consistent run game, play-action to Moss would quickly become a common occurrence.
More than anything, he'd bring experience and late-game savvy to a team that lacks exactly that.
There is a good chance that Randy Moss comes back to the NFL this season. If he does, one of the aforementioned teams will be the likely landing spot.
No team needs him more than the Giants though.
