Arsenal vs. Bolton: Why Gunners Will Come Up Big in Must-Win Game
Arsenal has endured one of the worst starts in recent memory. Through five games of the English Premier League, the Gunners have totaled four points from one win, a draw and three losses.
This hasn’t been the start coach Arsene Wegner was searching for after losing star midfielders Samir Nasri and Cesc Fabregas. Their luck will change, at least for this week, after they defeat Bolton Wanderers in a must-win game at the Emirates Stadium.
After losing at Blackburn last weekend, Wegner and Arsenal can’t afford to drop further in the race, especially at home against a poor team. They can’t afford to fall any more behind Manchester United and Manchester City in the standings if they really feel they are still in contention.

Arsenal will come up big against Bolton because the fans won’t allow another sub-par performance. They understand that this team can’t afford to lose points at home if they truly feel they are capable of winning the English Premier League.
Also, a team that is more desperate will always be tougher to beat. Bolton isn’t known for contending in the Premier League, so they aren’t as desperate. Arsenal, however, are under more pressure than any team right now. Aggressive play will be seen at the Emirates, especially in the first 15 minutes of the game.
Players seem to have Wegner’s back, which is a great thing to see. ''He's been at the club for over 15 years and so he's not under any pressure at all. Us players, we need to look at ourselves and start doing it on the pitch, to be honest,” said midfielder Theo Walcott.
''A lot of people say about the defensive sort of issue but it's not just the back four, you need to look at defending as a whole team. We haven't managed to do that, to be honest, so we need to make sure we're at it against Bolton at the weekend.”
Any time your players publicly defend you coach, it shows quality team chemistry. That team chemistry is exactly how Arsenal will turn the ship around.
Arsenal isn’t good enough to beat Manchester United or Manchester City this season. However, Arsenal needs to focus on getting to the top four, a more realistic goal. The Premier League is wide open in terms of fourth place in the league. It is up for grabs.
If they plan on turning it around, it must start this Saturday against Bolton. And it will.
