Week 3 Fantasy Football Rankings: Top 3 Point-Machine Tight Ends
In the NFL a great tight end is a luxury. The same can be said for the position in fantasy football.
An average tight end can make most blocks, grab a first down catch or two during the course of a game, and perhaps put up a few touchdowns a season.
Average is good, but we aren’t talking about just good.

Projecting Every NFL Team's Starting Lineup 🔮

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Greatness at the tight end position can put you over the top from being a good team to one of the best teams.
Great tight ends are too big for any safety or corner to cover, and far too quick for a linebacker to stay with.
The best tight ends in the league are pretty much wide receivers that know how to get in a three-point stance.
A great tight end can make you a champion; in the NFL and in fantasy football.
Here are the top three projected tight ends for Week 3:
Jermichael Finley, Packers
Finley has played well in 2011, but he hasn’t produced the star-like numbers that we were expecting. I think all of that is going to change against the Bears. Whenever the Packers go to Chicago the games tend to get very physical and drawn out.
The Packers offense is going to have to rely on Finley to keep the chains moving, and make some big-time plays in the stretch run. I’m looking forward to Finley having a monster game and producing a ton of points.
2. Tony Gonzalez, Falcons
Somehow Tony Gonzalez has been able to turn back the clock on his career about 10 years. He looks like a player just entering his prime, rather than the old washed up veteran we thought he would be.
Gonzalez is incredible at getting open and has great hands, and we all know Matt Ryan will get him the ball.
3. Jason Witten, Cowboys
With seemingly half of the Cowboy’s offense banged up, I expect Witten is going to become the main option this week. Running back Felix Jones, receiver Dez Bryant and quarterback Tony Romo are all in pain; which means Witten is going to have to be a star.
Romo is going to be looking for him on short routes when his ribs are acting up, and I think he will be able to sneak in a few bombs down the field once they lure the defense in.
