Brett Favre: New Broadcasting Gig Ensures We'll Never Get Away from Favre
Brett Favre won't go away. We're already swamped with his Wrangler commercials on TV and pictures of his personal matters all over the Internet and now the Favre circus is infiltrating college football.
Favre will be heading back to Southern Mississippi to call the game against Rice, according to Pro Football Talk. It's great for Southern Mississippi, as their most famous alumni is coming back and drawing a ton of added interest to the game.
While Favre contends that he is not committing to a new career in broadcasting, moonlighting as a color commentator ends the brief break we've had from seeing Favre. It was nicer having the lockout this offseason than "Favre watch", but it's clear the mini-vacation will be short lived.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
This isn't the last we've heard of Favre in the commentators booth. While right now it may seem like he's just having fun with his alma mater, No. 4 is bound to get back in front of the camera after this.
When Favre was in Green Bay, people loved to watch his fun-loving and reckless style of play. It was as though a fan was on the field and the way he carried himself was infectious.
After the waffling back and forth every offseason thereafter, Favre got flat-out annoying. You couldn't go anywhere without seeing Favre crying, moping or looking disappointed. After the Jenn Sterger incident, almost everyone could agree that the world had seen too much of Favre.
Most of the world needs a break. A longer break, that is. Most of us aren't going to watch Favre try his hand at commentating this time around, but him building his resume in the booth could lead to him appearing on sports talk shows, ESPN or calling a big-time college football game.
This is a win for Favre, a win for Southern Mississippi and a loss for the rest of the world, who has been exhausted by Favre for the past half-decade.
Giving Favre a microphone makes him even more difficult to tune out.
