Valencia and Barcelona Play to 2-2 Draw at Estadio Mestalla

Not only did they fail to come away with a win, but they needed a late equalizer just to save face and leave with a draw.

Now that is what we like to call efficiency in the soccer world.

Barcelona outplayed Valencia for a large part of the match, but it wasn't by as much as the statistics indicate. Valencia missed the goal on some easy opportunities, but for the large part of the match, Barcelona was in control.

Sometimes a victory just isn't in the cards, though.

However, Cesc Fabregas was making sure a draw was in the cards. With just 13 minutes remaining, Fabregas finally connected to equalize after Barca has been pouring on the pressure for the better half of 30 minutes.

The goal from Fabregas marked his fourth goal for the club in just four games since joining the team from Arsenal during the summer transfer window. He showed confidence and patience on the goal as he received a pass from Lionel Messi and tucked it into the back of the net off his left foot.

The Fabregas acquisition could have been the biggest move of the summer for Barcelona, and the one that guarantees them another spot in the Champions League Final.
