Manchester United vs. Basel: Complete Preview, Start Time, and Schedule
Manchester United continue to roll and come into their next match against Basel with a perfect record in the Champions League.
The Red Devils are a dangerous team that seems to be hitting their stride. They have a perfect combination of talented youth and veteran presence that is making them incredibly difficult to stop.
While Basel have the pieces and players in position to compete, the fact of the matter is that they are going to struggle to even compete with this rolling United Club.

United manager Sir Alex Ferguson has been pushing all the correct buttons so far, but he's going to have to keep his club focused and determined as they head into this matchup.
It may be easy to sleep on Basel, but counting them out completely would be foolish.

Betting Line (via sports.williamhill.com): Manchester United -600, Basel +1100, Draw +450
Key Injuries:
Manchester United: Javier Hernandez - leg injury; Tom Cleverly - ankle/foot injury.
Biggest Storyline:
Will United be able to keep their hot streak up, or will they fall into the trap of playing Basel? Technically they should have no problem collecting the win and the points, but Sir Ferguson is going to have to keep his squad focused on the task at hand instead of looking ahead.
Player to Watch For Basel: Alexander Frei, Forward
Frei is easily the biggest threat on the Basel side, and he should be able to push the ball and cause some trouble for the United defense. He's a prolific scorer and should be able to put one in early.
Player to Watch for Manchester United: Wayne Rooney, Striker
There is no doubt that Rooney is one of the premier football players in the world, so any time he is on the pitch he is well worth your watch. He should have no problem maneuvering around Basel's defense, so don't be surprised to see a big match out of him.
What They're Saying:
Rueters via The Times of India writes about United's Michael Owen and his impressive play in injury relief:
"Little-used striker Owen bagged a brace in United's 3-0 League Cup third round win at Leeds United on Tuesday and with Javier Hernandez likely to miss the tricky trip to Stoke City (1630 GMT), the leaders may turn to the former England forward.
"
Hernandez was injured after a crunching tackle by Ashley Cole in last weekend's 3-1 victory over Chelsea which left champions United as the only Premier League team with a 100 percent record after five matches.
Dimitar Berbatov and the fit-again Danny Welbeck are other options to partner Wayne Rooney up front for Alex Ferguson but Owen is feeling back in the groove after a host of injuries.
"It's nice to prove to yourself and everyone that you can still contribute, still play well. We're coming into a good part of the season now, with the games coming thick and fast so hopefully the games will be shared round a bit."
Prediction:
While I do think that Basel will give United somewhat of a tricky time in the first half, the Red Devils are just far too good to allow themselves to lose on their home pitch. Wayne Rooney is going to come up big in this game.
Manchester United 4, Basel 1
