25 WWE Superstars Who Could Have Made It in the UFC
The UFC is unarguably the center stage for all fighters across the globe. It has grown to be one of the most popular sports of all time and shows no signs of slowing down.
And while the UFC continues to produce the world's greatest fighters, many fans ask what about the WWE?
World Wrestling Entertainment was founded in 1952 and now broadcasts to over 145 countries in 30 different languages.
While the UFC produces the greatest fighters in the world, the WWE has its fair share as well.
As we've seen with former UFC Heavyweight champion Brock Lesnar, many WWE Superstars could make the transition.
With the proper training, these stars could have had successful careers in the UFC.
The following slides display 25 WWE Superstars who could of had success inside the UFC Octagon.

25. Matt Hardy
1 of 25Matt Hardy, who is now semi-retired, was one of the most explosive wrestlers during his stint in the WWE.
Most recognized for being one of the "Hardy Boyz," Hardy's energy could have led him to a career in the UFC.
24. Jack Swagger
2 of 25Jack Swagger's 6'6", 263-pound build would qualify him for the Heavyweight division.
Most notably known for his Ankle locks and Power Bombs, Swagger could have made it inside the Octagon.
23. Sheamus
3 of 25While he may be a little over the top, Sheamus isn't to be messed with. Standing 6'6" and 272 lbs, Sheamus would have to cut a few pounds to fight in the Heavyweight division.
Most famous for his Brogue Kick, Sheamus' skills could have led to success inside the Octagon.
22. Sin Cara
4 of 25Sin Cara, who stands 5'7" and weighs 175 lbs, would only have to drop five pounds in order to fight in the Welterweight division.
Most recognized for his elbows and kicks, Sin Cara could have pursued a career in mixed martial arts.

9 of 25Hulk Hogan, who stands at a whopping 6'7" and weighs 303 pounds, is way past his prime. However, in Hogan's day, he could have went the UFC route.
Arguably the greatest WWE wrestler of all time, Hogan's body slams and leg drops could have equaled success inside the Octagon.
16. Randy Savage
10 of 25Randy Savage, who passed away on May 20th, 2011, could have made a run at a job in the UFC when he was in his prime.
One of the strongest WWE stars of all time, Savage was popular for his knees and elbow drops.
15. Randy Orton
11 of 25Randy Orton, also one of the strongest wrestlers in the WWE, stands an impressive 6'4" and weighs 245 lbs.
Just Orton's build would cause opponents trouble inside the Octagon. Orton could use his takedown skills to be successful in the UFC.
14. Stone Cold
12 of 25Arguably the greatest WWE superstar of all time, Stone Cold Steve Austin could have pursued a career in mixed martial arts.
Austin, who would specialize in the takedown, would have an advantage in the grappling game. He would also be difficult to take down and control on the ground.
13. Kane
13 of 25Kane, who stands an amazing 7'0" tall and weighs a whooping 323 lbs, could only hope for an Extra Heavyweight division if he were to chase a career in the UFC.
Although Kane doesn't have the skills to be an elite fighter in the Octagon, his statue alone would be very difficult to take down. Along with that, Kane holds a significant height and reach advantage.
12. Shawn Michaels
14 of 25Shawn Michaels was one of the WWE's most athletic wrestlers during his memorable career. Michaels, who retired from pro wrestling in March of 2010, could of had a career in mixed martial arts.
The "Heartbreak Kid" displayed exceptional kicks during his stint in the WWE.
11. Big Show
15 of 25Much like Kane, the Big Show could only hope for the UFC to create an Extra Heavyweight division in order for him to pursue a career in mixed martial arts.
While the Big Show certainly wouldn't be the quickest or most athletic fighter, he would definitely be the largest. With a huge reach advantage and being difficult to take down, Big Show could have had success in the UFC.
10. John Cena
16 of 25John Cena is arguably the strongest wrestler in the WWE today. While Cena stands just 6'1", he weighs an eye-opening 240 lbs.
Athletic for his size, Cena could pursue a career in the Octagon and specialize in taking down his opponents and grounding and pounding them.
9. Edge
17 of 25Edge, who is now retired, is one of the most popular WWE superstars to have ever set foot in the ring.
Exceptional in kicking, wrestling and his athletic ability, Edge could have seen success in the Octagon if it weren't for a career-ending injury. Edge is also an artist in the takedown.
8. Triple H
18 of 25Standing 6'4", Triple H would qualify for the UFC's Heavyweight division as he weighs a staggering 255 lbs.
Another one of the WWE's strongest wrestlers, Triple H is skilled in his grueling punches, knees and submissions. Very difficult to take down, Triple H could have made it in the sport of mixed martial arts.
7. The Undertaker
19 of 25Arguably the most popular and greatest WWE wrestler of all time, the Undertaker stands at 6'10" and weighs in at a pound shy of 300.
Similar to The Big Show and Kane, The Undertaker is more athletic and would display a huge advantage in his height, weight and reach advantage. It would be extremely difficult to take the legend down and more difficult to knock him out because of his height advantage.
6. Rob Van Dam
20 of 25Rob Van Dam grew up in Michigan where he was introduced to mixed martial arts at an early age. Van Dam, who always had a passion for pro wrestling, is one of the most athletic wrestlers to have ever entered in the ring.
Just six-feet tall, Van Dam makes up for it with his 237-pound muscular build. Most known for jumping off the top ropes in the WWE ring, Van Dam could of had success in the UFC.
5. Rey Mysterio
21 of 25Standing at just 5'6", Rey Mysterio would only have to drop five pounds in order to fight in the Welterweight division of the UFC.
Mysterio, similar to Clay Guida with his energy and off-the-wall mentality, could have pursued a career in mixed martial arts.
4. The Rock
22 of 25A former college football player at Miami University, The Rock possesses a similar build to that of Brock Lesnar.
Standing 6'5" and weighing 260 lbs, The Rock could have been a force inside the UFC Octagon. Now a movie star, The Rock would have specialized in the ground and pound if he would have pursued a career in mixed martial arts.
3. Shelton Benjamin
23 of 25Shelton Benjamin, one of the greatest wrestlers to have ever participated in the WWE, was introduced to the sport at a very young age.
Benjamin went on to become a wrestler at the University of Minnesota. Benjamin was also a two-time South Carolina state wrestling champion. If Benjamin would ever enter the Octagon, he would be an absolute force in the takedown, wrestling and grappling game. While he never pursued at career in mixed martial arts, he could have been successful.
2. Bret Hart
24 of 25Canadian wrestler Bret Hart has been around the sport since his birth. During his early years of wrestling, Hart won several tournaments in Alberta before being declared Canada's Most Outstanding Wrestler in 1981.
While Hart never chased a career in the UFC, he certainly could have been a force. While his wrestling his second to none, Hart's 234-pound muscular build would cause problems to any opponent. Hart could have had a successful career inside the Octagon.
1. Kurt Angle
25 of 25Kurt Angle, an Olympic gold medalist in 1996, is unarguably the greatest wrestler to have ever entered the WWE ring. Angle also won a gold medal at the World Championships in Atlanta and a bronze and silver medal at the World Cup in 1992 and 1995.
With world-class talent, Angle could have certainly pursued a career in mixed martial arts and a successful one to say the least. Angle could have been one of the best grapplers the UFC has ever seen. Despite never entering the Octagon, Angle could have had a long and rewarding career in the UFC.
