UFC 135: Live Streaming Info, PPV Listing, Full Fight Card
When Jon Jones defends the UFC light heavyweight championship against Quinton Jackson at UFC 135, he will look to continue his dominance over the light heavyweight division.
Jones has become an instant sensation in the mixed martial arts world thanks to his destruction of Ryan Bader in February and Mauricio "Shogun" Rua in March. His performance in those fights, and his freakish athletic ability, have left fans and analysts wondering who will be able to stop him.
Jackson, on the other hand, is trying to stay relevant in the light heavyweight division. He has two straight victories on his resume, but one of those victories was a controversial decision over Lyoto Machida, and the other was over journeyman fighter Matt Hamill.

Jon Jones' Keys To Victory
Jones has every advantage over Jackson in this fight, with the possible exception of strength. He has to use his long reach (84.5 inches) to stay away from Jackson's power, and use his long, lanky frame to frustrate the challenger before taking him down and beating him with a ground and pound.
Quinton Jackson's Keys To Victory
Jackson's best chance to win this fight is to catch Jones with a punch when he gets aggressive. Jones loves to bring the fight to his opponents, and at times, he can leave himself open to a hard shot. No one has been able to land that knockout blow so far, but if anyone can do it, it is Jackson. His defense has looked better of late, but he will need it to be better than ever to avoid going to the ground.
What They Are Saying
Jackson, speaking during the UFC 135 media conference call on Monday, said that he doesn't feel Jones is giving him the respect that he deserves.
""He (Jones) was saying stuff he shouldn’t be saying to a veteran fighter like me. The guy has never walked the way I’ve walked in this sport. Basically, he said the wrong (expletive). And I treat him the way I treat him because I’ve got no respect for him."
"
Jones says that he is trying to avoid the trash talking that Jackson has been using when leading up to this fight because he wants to stay true to himself and be respectful of his opponents.
""It (trash talk) definitely makes me fight better. The only reason it makes me fight better is because it makes me prepare better. I realize every quote I make, I’ve got to back it up. That’s why I try to not insult my opponent and say things that I only think will be true."

Main Card Fight To Watch
Matt Hughes vs. Josh Koscheck
The last time we saw Hughes in the octagon, he got knocked out by B.J. Penn in 21 seconds. It was not the banner performance he was looking for after winning his previous three fights. Another loss in this fight and the 37-year-old UFC Hall of Famer could call it a career.
Josh Koscheck took this fight on short notice after Diego Sanchez broke his hand while training. It is his first fight since Georges St-Pierre broke his right orbital bone at UFC 124.
This is a bout between two of the best wrestlers in UFC, and the added drama of what will happen to Hughes if he wins or loses this fight makes this a must-see.
Preliminary Fight To Watch
Ricardo Romero vs. James Te Huna
While this fight will have no bearing whatsoever on the light heavyweight rankings, it should be an exciting fight between two fighters that want to finish their opponent.
In 13 career fights, Romero has only gone to a decision once. His last three victories have come via submission, but he has good knockout power in his punches.
Te Huna is coming off a loss to Alexander Gustafsson at UFC 127, but prior to that he won his previous five fights via knockout. He is going to attack early and try to land the big blow that will end this fight.
This should be a great fight, and is a solid contender for Fight of the Night.
Main Event Prediction
Jon Jones is approaching Anderson Silva/Georges St-Pierre territory, which means that until they lose a fight, you can't bet against them. He is younger, faster, more athletic than Jackson and should be able to impose his will on the challenger.
The only reason to pick Jackson is because of Jones' ego. If he walks into the fight too cocky and confident, he can get sloppy, and Jackson will knock him out.
Jones wins via second round TKO due to ground strikes.
