Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Last week, we saw the Titans lose their first game to a hot New York Jets team. On the flip side, can the Lions win their first game?
After an 11-5 week, my 2008 record stands at 116-59 for a .663 percentage clip.
Arizona (7-4) at Philadelphia (5-5-1): Philadelphia is playing for their season at this point. Dallas is almost certainly going to win. Even if the Giants beat the Redskins the Eagles will be in last place, one and one half games behind the Redskins with four games to play and three divisional games against a division they are 0-3 against.
Arizona is going to win the division regardless if they win another game, so it doesn’t mean as much to them.
That said, I don’t see the Eagles coming up big in this game. I like the Cardinals passing game to move the ball on the Eagles suspect defense and I look for the Cardinals defense to have a bounce back game.
Winner: Arizona
New Orleans (6-5) at Tampa Bay (8-3): It’s pretty hard to pick against New Orleans after a Monday Night Game like that, but I just don’t have faith in them to play consistently. The Bucs are a little injured right now, but they just keep finding ways to win games.
I think the Bucs will do a better job of containing a Saints team that doesn’t play very well on the road. Tampa Bay should be able to find a way to run the ball against a bad Saints defense.
Winner: Tampa Bay
New York Giants (10-1) at Washington (7-4): Great divisional game. With a win the Giants can almost mathematically clinch the division. They would be three games ahead of the Cowboys (assuming they beat the Hawks) with four games to play.
I think the Redskins don’t have enough on offense to challenge the Giants defense. This will be a low scoring game very similar to the opener, which the Giants won 16-7.
I still think the Giants run the ball well and do the same things in the rematch that left the Redskins offense confused, mainly putting pressure on Jason Campbell.
Winner: New York Giants
Pittsburgh (8-3) at New England (7-4): New England is starting to gel behind Matt Cassel. They played the Jets very well two weeks ago and took it to Miami. The Steelers have a very good pass defense and will challenge Cassel more than the previous two opponents did. Cassel isn’t going to go for his third consecutive 400-yard game.
However, I think the Hood has had very good success against the Steelers and I think he finds a way to get them a win.
Winner: New England
Chicago (6-5) at Minnesota (6-5): The first game was a shootout with the Bears winning 48-41. I don’t see the fireworks we saw in the last game. What I do see is Adrian Peterson having another strong game running the ball. I think the Vikings do a better job of stopping the Bears offense in this game and I look for the home team to get the win in the Twin Cities.
Winner: Minnesota
And the rest…
Tennessee (10-1) at Detroit (0-11): Even though Tennessee had their worst performance of the year there is no reason to expect their running game won’t bounce back this week. Titans run all over the Lions.
Winner: Tennessee
Seattle (2-9) at Dallas (7-4): Dallas is getting their swagger back, which is not good news for Seattle. Romo traditionally plays well in the Thanksgiving game and there is no reason that should not continue against a bad Seattle team.
Winner: Dallas
San Francisco (3-8) at Buffalo (6-5): West Coast teams have...
