Fantasy Football Week 3 Projections: Which Elite Players Will Struggle?
Although it's almost impossible to believe unless you actually watch it right before your eyes, star fantasy players do have a bad game every so often.
Therefore, it should come as no surprise when the opposing players step up and shut the elite player down, because after all, the lesser known players are getting paid too.
That being said here are two elitist that will struggle in Week 3 of the NFL season.

Projecting Every NFL Team's Starting Lineup 🔮

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Adrian Peterson: RB, Minnesota Vikings (vs Detroit Lions)
For starters, Adrian is a stud and is always going to be a stud.
However, this week he will get shut down by the Detroit Lions front seven who are better than that of the San Diego Chargers who limited him to 98 yards in Week 1.
Last season Peterson rushed for 160 against Detroit in Week 3, but was then completely dominated in the 2010 rematch in Week 17, and only gained 31 yards.
This time around, the Lions will be much, much better early on, and whenever rookie DT Nick Fairley returns, they will be impenetrable.
Peterson just better hope Fairley doesn't return this week, otherwise he may get completely isolated, thus forcing the Vikings to revert the their passing game.
And that, as we all know, is clearly not the forte or strength of Minnesota.
Regardless of whether Fairley plays or not, don't be shocked to see Peterson's numbers around 50 total yards and zero TDs since Minnesota is so one-dimensional.
Therefore, stay optimistic because it's only one game and remember, it's Adrian Peterson we're talking about here, so he'll bounce back quickly.
Aaron Rodgers: QB, Green Bay Packers (at Chicago Bears)
Sure he is arguably the best QB in the game right now, but Packers' QB Aaron Rodgers had some trouble against the Chicago Bears last season.
For the year, Green Bay played the Bears three times, winning two of them. But for the fantasy owners out there, you would have thought that the cheese-heads lost by virtue of Rodgers' performance.
His pass yards per game average against the Bears (including the postseason) was 263, and he only threw two TDs to four picks combined in all three games.
Not to mention he was sacked three times and hit an additional 10 times.
Make no mistake about it, Rodgers will get his this week because frankly, he's just that good and he's a lot better than last season.
However, the Bears defense is hungry after Saints' QB Drew Brees shredded them, so it's likely Rodgers only tosses for 250 yards, with one TD and one pick.
These are certainly not even close to his normal fantasy numbers, but in struggling against The Monsters of the Midway in 2010, be happy that he doesn't perform worse.
