Fantasy Football Projections Week 2: Tom Brady and 3 QBs That Will Keep Rolling
In case you didn't notice, Week 1 of the NFL season produced some impressive passing numbers. There were 14 quarterbacks that had 300 or more yards passing. Four of them eclipsed 400. Six quarterbacks had three or more touchdowns, while 18 had two or more.
I don't know if we can expect that again. That's actually historically good. If it happens again, heads need to roll in a lot of defenses.
While it may not happen again in that way, there are a few quarterbacks that will continue to play strong. If you are going against these guys, good luck.

Projecting Every NFL Team's Starting Lineup 🔮

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Tom Brady: How many people were in a fantasy match that looked completely lost after Sunday's action? Keep your hands up if you had Tom Brady radically change that.
My hand is up. I can't see everyone out there, but I am sure I am not the only one.
San Diego has a better defense than Miami, but they are a little prone to giving up the big play. Brady has plenty of weapons at his disposal that will make big plays.
New England has an offense that's made for Brady to thrive. Their running attack is not great and the passing attack is deep. With those factors and Brady's passing ability, he'll be showing up on lists like this all season.
Ryan Fitzpatrick: People may not realize that Fitzpatrick actually had a very solid year in 2010. He opened 2011 with a nice day, throwing for 208 yards, but with four TDs and no picks.
The Raiders defense has its issues. Through all of the "Tebow" chants, Kyle Orton still figured out a way to throw for over 300 yards on Oakland.
Unlike Brady, Fitzpatrick is still owned in less than half of ESPN's Fantasy Leagues, although that may change once the waiver periods all pass.
But I wouldn't be at all comfortable going against Fitzpatrick. If you have him on the bench, consider starting him. There is a very big game out there waiting for him against Oakland.
Cam Newton: Before you criticize me for not including Aaron Rodgers, Drew Brees, or other elite quarterbacks, you can just tie them in with Brady. No, they don't have Brady's numbers and aren't going against the same team, but they are reliable quarterbacks.
While I have to mention them, I want to include guys who might be available in fantasy leagues, or at least should be considered to start.
The Packers won last Thursday's opener, but Drew Brees lit up their secondary. Now they go on the road to face Carolina and Cam Newton. Will he repeat his 422 yard performance? No, he's not Drew Brees and Green Bay's secondary is much better than Arizona's.
But can I see another very strong fantasy day? Yes, absolutely. While he didn't show it in the first week, Newton can also run. Those are fantasy points that other QBs won't generate. He's owned in 69 percent of ESPN leagues and currently starting in 13 percent.
If you have him backing up a veteran quarterback that maybe disappointed in Week 1, don't be afraid to pull the trigger and start him against the Packers.
