Picking which wide receivers to start is a tortuous process that seemingly always goes wrong.
Sometimes it’s better to start the late-round pick due to the juicy matchup that presents itself. Here are three fringe starters that are absolute locks to cash in big points in Week 2.

Projecting Every NFL Team's Starting Lineup 🔮

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Cam Newton showed the NFL how awful the Arizona Cardinals secondary is right now. Rookie Patrick Peterson is going to be great, but right now you can pick on him and that’s exactly what the Redskins will do.
You can say a lot of things about quarterback Rex Grossman, but there is no denying that he can throw the deep ball and Santana Moss is the prime target.
Moss got over 70 yards receiving last week without getting into the end zone, but that changes this week.
Expect a monster game from Moss with at least one touchdown.
Mario Manningham vs. St. Louis Rams
The Rams secondary didn’t look particularly great in Week 1. They gave the Philly receivers too much room and didn’t play aggressively.
Manningham didn’t have a great fantasy start (four catches, 49 yards) but should get more targets this week. Hakeem Nicks is banged-up with a knee injury and may not play. That makes Manningham the No. 1 guy for a Giants team that plans to be very aggressive on Monday night.
Jeremy Maclin @ Atlanta Falcons
Maclin only had 20 yards in the opener, but you can blame his sickness that caused him to miss a large chunk of training camp. Week 1 was about shaking off the rust.
He still is the No. 2 receiver in Philadelphia and should excel on the Falcons' turf. Quarterback Michael Vick has been waiting to play his old team for a long time now and you can bet he’s going for the home run early and often.
Maclin is going to reap the benefits.
