NFL Power Rankings Week 2: Which Teams Will Let Fans Down in the Postseason?
So far in the 2011 NFL season, there appear to be some new faces and teams on the rise.
That not only gives hope to the fan base, but also NFL fans in general from all over the world.
Having new teams come around keeps things interesting, makes the season more exciting and ultimately, adds to the drama and pandemonium that is pro football.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
However, there are those that also give a false hope; they are only just good enough to make the playoffs.
That being said, here are two teams (one from each conference) who will have a chance in the postseason, but in the end will let their fans down.
New York Jets
The past two seasons, the Jets have a playoff record of 4-2, have been a wild-card team each time and have yet to host a playoff game.
They are the losers of two consecutive AFC Championship games—both of which they could have won—and are expecting to make it to the Super Bowl this time around.
Well, sorry to spoil the season now Jets fans, but until New York's AFC franchise actually gets over the hump and into the Super Bowl, they're going to continue to let fans down.
They will get over that hump sooner than later, just not in 2011, as New England, Baltimore, Houston and San Diego all are just as good, if not better, than the Jets.
The biggest reason is that they haven't been able to win the AFC East.
Having at least one home playoff game would significantly increase their chances, because continually playing on the road each postseason is only going to get harder.
Also, playing a full game is a definite must.
In the 2009 AFC Championship game, New York held a 17-6 lead on the Colts with less than five minutes to go in the first half.
Indy ran off 24 unanswered and the Jets lost.
In 2010, they found themselves down 24-3 at halftime to the Steelers.
New York couldn't make a full comeback and lost 24-19.
Atlanta Falcons
In Week One, the Falcons' weakness was exposed by Chicago offensive coordinator Mike Martz, and his second-tier (maybe third-tier) NFL QB Jay Cutler.
Atlanta traded up in the 2011 NFL Draft to grab WR Julio Jones from the University of Alabama, thus giving a giant boost to an already powerful offense.
However, an improvement to the pass defense was needed, as head coach Mike Smith's team allowed an average of 226 yard passing per game, ranking them No. 22 in the NFL.
Chicago exploited that in Week One, as did the eventual Super Bowl Champion Green Bay Packers in the 2010 NFC Divisional round.
Other offensive firepowers in Green Bay, New Orleans, Philadelphia and Chicago have also been dubbed NFC title contenders, but those franchises also have above average defenses (at worst).
The Falcons will make the playoffs and possibly get through the wild-card round, but with a weak pass defense, they won't survive any further.
When it comes time for the 2012 NFL Draft, if you're a Falcons fan, hope for a boost to the secondary because they desperately need it.
