Manchester United Transfer News: Why Wesley Sneijder Will Eventually Join United
Much was made this summer about Manchester United's rumored bid of £35 million for Inter Milan star midfielder Wesley Sneijder.
By the time deadline day was through, which came complete with bogus rumors that Sneijder was undergoing a physical at Old Trafford, Sneijder stayed put at Milan and United went about its business of being the clear-cut favorite to win the Premier League this season.
But while Sneijder didn't make it to Old Trafford this transfer window, that doesn't meant he won't soon join United.

Keep in mind, United was the only club rumored to even have a shot at one of the best midfielders in the world this transfer window. Sneijder has also expressed respect for the club that has won four of the last five Premier League titles and 12 overall under Sir Alex Ferguson's wing.
He also made sure to give a shout out to the fans, tweeting, "I respect all the Man Utd fans, who supported me the whole transfer window!"
Not only has United already crossed Sneijder's mind (whether he admits it or not), who else do you expect a player of Sneijder's caliber to join? Sure, there's Chelsea, the revamped Manchester City, even Liverpool, but you would expect one of the best midfielders in the world to go where he has a chance at a championship.
In short, you wouldn't expect someone like Sneijder to settle.
It's not just the success United has had since the inception of the Premier League. It's more than that. It's the manager, Sir Alex Ferguson, and the pedigree that he holds. It's the brand name, Manchester United, that is known far and wide, even by those who have never kicked a soccer ball or cared for the sport.
United isn't just a club, but a billboard, enticing its clients to give it a shot. Heck, you could even earn £35 million in return.
If Sneijder moves to the Premier League down the line (and I can't see any reason why he wouldn't), you can bet he will be join Sir Alex Ferguson and Co.
