Melo vs. Goodman League: Watch Highlights of LeBron James, Kevin Durant and More
Kevin Durant and LeBron James led the top 10 plays from the Melo vs. Goodman exhibition on Tuesday night, and helped to put on a phenomenal show with the Melo squad taking it home by the score of 149-141.
Although the two superstars were the most prominent from the evening, there were plenty of other players that really got the crowd excited with a series of highlight-reel moves.
But let's start with the battle between James and Durant.
The two went back and forth all night against one another, with the latter clearly looking to take on King James and outshine him.
Durant executed a series of impressive moves, but nothing was better than the fifth play in the top 10, when the Thunder forward absolutely abused James with a series of crossover dribbles, brought him out to the perimeter, and then blew by him baseline for a nasty dunk.
Despite Durant getting the best of James on a few occasions, "The King" put on a fairly impressive show of his own, boasting his immense athleticism with a few pretty serious dunks. The best one of the night came on a pass off the backboard to himself when he violently slammed the ball through the rim with emphasis.
Memphis Grizzlies draft pick Josh Selby continues to show why he was an absolute steal in the second round for the team, as evidenced by his highlight 360 slam dunk after receiving a pass from half court.
Additionally, second-year point guard Eric Bledsoe showed off his impressive athleticism with two slam dunks that left the crowd "oohing" and "aahing", and it looked as if he has really improved this offseason.
I would not be surprised to see him challenge Mo Williams for the Clippers starting job sooner rather than later, as the team did give up a future first-round pick (protected) to acquire his services in 2010.
Chris Paul delivered a solid performance, and he appeared to have a very nice handle on his jumper throughout the evening. Carmelo Anthony also brought the rim down with a nice slam dunk of his own, and he finally showed that his bout with bursitis in his elbow appears to be a non-issue at this point.
With so many All-Stars on the same court together, this was one of the better contests that we've seen so far this summer.
