Raiders vs. Seahawks: TV Schedule, Live Streaming, Radio, Game Time and More

Gabe ZaldivarJun 4, 2018

The Oakland Raiders head to the Emerald City to take on the Seattle Seahawks, and they will be locked in a grudge match.

The Seahawks managed to wrestle away a team leader in Zach Miller. His locker room ethic will be missed by a young team in need of chemistry.

These are two teams looking to quiet the roar of critics. The Oakland Raiders made headlines in their supplemental draft of Terrelle Pryor. He will surely feature in Friday's affair.

The Seattle Seahawks had a miraculous season in 2010. How miraculous? Well, they are the only team to sneak into the postseason with a losing record. How is that for conference karma?

With the Rams on the rise, it will take a better effort to return to the playoffs. Both squads will be hoping for some momentum to start the season. Friday marks the last chance to answer looming roster questions.

The last tune-up of 2011 is upon us, so let's break down all the finer details of the Raiders and Seahawks.

Raiders Key Addition

Zach Miller leaves a gaping hole that Kevin Boss will hope to fill in. The former Giants tight end was a favorite for Jason Campbell.

He will have to create the same chemistry with Jason Campbell if the Raiders are going to be successful. I have little faith in the hands of most of this receiving corps.

Seahawks Key Addition

I would say that Zach Miller is the key signing here, but the offense will rely on Tarvaris Jackson to succeed.

The former Vikings backup will have every opportunity to shine in Seattle. He begged and pleaded for a starting gig. Well, now he has it. It is time to see what he does with it.

Raiders Biggest Loss

Kevin Boss certainly helps, but Zach Miller will be missed on a team that demands leadership wherever they can find it.

The greatest name to leave the team is of course Nnamdi Asomugha, who is now shutting down the corner for the Philadelphia Eagles.

Seahawks Biggest Loss

Matt Hasselbeck was old. He may very well only have a season or two left in the arm, but he will surely be missed.

Hasselbeck was underrated in what he gave Seattle on a consistent basis. It is time to turn the page, but the Seahawks stalwart would have been a great mentor to the younger arms on the roster.

What They're Saying

The Mercury News reports the least surprising item of the summer. The Raiders have fallen in love with another fast player. Rookie Taiwan Jones talks about how he has to slow down.

"My biggest problem is when I hear 'Hike!' I just want to go. A lot of times, you have to be more patient and let the blocks develop. I just have to remind myself to slow down."

The Seattle Post Intelligencer reports on a stirring development at Seahawks' camp. The offensive line may get a vital upgrade shortly. Andre Gurode may soon be signed.

"Gurode may be a better fit at guard than at center for the Seahawks right now. If he were acquired, it would not be unrealistic for him supplant rookie right guard John Moffitt, perhaps to add a more veteran presence to that side of the line."

Raiders Player To Watch

The fourth week of the preseason will see a great many of the stars wearing baseball caps by the second quarter. It is time to give the prospects a chance.

This game will highlight the biggest name to hit the Raiders recently. Terrelle Pryor is assured that he will get snaps in the Raiders offense. We will soon see what the hype is all about as he commands an NFL offense.

Seahawks Player To Watch

Tavaris Jackson has not been the savior Pete Carroll was hoping for. I would gather that he has one last chance to shine before Charlie Whitehurst usurps the young QB as the opening day starter.

I don't see how the Seahawks can give him the keys to the offense if he has a fourth straight game of subpar football.

Matchup To Watch

The Raiders will be doing everything in their power to get over on a Seahawks offensive line that has been shoddy in the preseason.

This will be a glimpse at what Seattle will have going forward, Andre Gurode or no Gurode. Quarterbacks like Whitehurst and Jackson demand some time to get comfortable in the pocket. Friday will prove if the panic button should be pressed.

Raiders Key Position Battle

There is an forever spinning carousel of characters vying for the backup quarterback position. Terrelle Pryor will only prove to exacerbate the conundrum for head coach Hue Jackson.

Seahawks' Key Position Battle

Both Whitehurst and Jackson will share the majority of the snaps. There has been no clear winner in a contest that Jackson should have won weeks ago.

His dismal play has put Whitehurst in the driver's seat. The pressure is firmly on Tavaris Jackson to prove that he should get the nod as the preseason comes to a close.

Key Storyline

These are two teams that are in the dumps. Don't let the Seahawks playoff run in 2010 fool you; they have just as many questions to answer in 2011.

The quarterback fiasco has only served to raise the desperation level in Seattle. The Raiders are a storied program that is hungry for a playoff appearance.

They will need their receivers to prove more than their speed if they are going to take the next step in what is still a winnable AFC West.
