WWE: CM Punk Momentum Being Ruined with Triple H Infusion
With all of the momentum that CM Punk has created over the last few months, there was no question that WWE would step all over that story line.
Punk created enormous momentum with his first-shoot promo on Raw all those weeks ago, and he carried that into WWE’s Money in the Bank pay-per-view, where he stole the WWE title from the beloved John Cena.
After the victory, Punk became a free agent and ran from the building with the WWE title, signaling the beginning of the new WWE mentality.

Using the momentum shift that Punk created, the WWE decided to take Vince McMahon off television and give the role of boss to Vinny Mac’s son-in-law, Triple H.
With Triple H on the job, the WWE has reverted back to must-see television, and the sport has been revived in many people’s eyes.
Even when he wasn’t “officially” signed, Punk was teasing a possible feud with Triple H at Comic-Con and beyond, and now it looks like all of those foreshadowing hints are coming to fruition.
After the SummerSlam match that saw Alberto Del Rio walk away with the WWE title and Punk knocked out from a jackknife at the hands of former WWE star Kevin Nash, the WWE has been playing their story lines by ear.
That’s stability if I have ever heard it, but it finally looks like the WWE is making up their mind.
Wrestle Newz is reporting about the future of the CM Punk storyline:
""Word going around at Tuesday’s WWE tapings was that creative has discussed popping the big CM Punk story line at Survivor Series, with CM Punk and Colt Cabana’s team taking on Triple H and Kevin Nash’s team. One idea was thrown to have Chris Hero and Claudio Castagnoli on Team Punk. WWE is looking to keep the Punk and Triple H story line going through the fall to help against Monday Night Football competition."
"
I almost thought the WWE would get it right for a second there, but I was quickly shown that thinking with my heart was naive.
CM Punk can carry the load of a major story line, but the WWE has tried to infuse too many other personalities and has stalled Punk’s momentum.
I love the idea of giving CM Punk a stable, especially if it’s made up of the best Ring of Honor wrestlers the federation has to offer.
Punk will put over guys as his allies, and the WWE can use his stable as a platform to introduce young talent.
Either that, or make another spirit squad.
What I hate about the idea is that the Triple H stable will require Kevin Nash to get back into the ring to wrestle again.
Nash hasn’t been a solid wrestler in a few years, and while he was once one of the best, his knee injuries will make him more of a liability than an asset.
If the WWE can continue the idea of Nash just being a hired hand instead of a ring regular, the story line could get over with more credibility than if Nash had to wrestle against Punk.
While CM Punk against Triple H is a feud that I would pay to see, the idea of the stables feuding is the wrong way to attack this story line.
