Fantasy Football Week 11 Waiver Wire (Midseason Recap: Part One)
With just a few weeks left before the fantasy football playoffs start, and with the bye weeks coming to a close, it’s imperative that you have your roster streamlined and ready.
Around this time every year, many owners ask themselves what they can do to better their team, but most owners are afraid of trading. That’s why the Fantasy Football Waiver Wire is our friend. There are still plenty of good free agents available that can help out your team.
Here is the first of two parts of a list of all the players that are free agents worth picking up. Some of these players are more available than others, but all can be found as a free agent in multiple leagues. Part One will feature quarterbacks, running backs, and wide receivers, while the second part will take a look at tight ends, kickers, and team defenses.

Projecting Every NFL Team's Starting Lineup 🔮

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Matt Ryan (Atlanta Falcons)
We typically advise people to stay away from rookie or first-year starters at the quarterback position, but Matt Ryan of the Atlanta Falcons is different. He’s totaled 11 touchdowns against just five interceptions this season and has six touchdowns with just two picks in his last three games. He would make for a good backup or starter in any size league.
--------------------
Matt Cassel (New England Patriots)
New England Patriots quarterback Matt Cassel had just two double-digit fantasy performances in the first six weeks but since then has had three double-digit performances in his last four games. With Laurence Maroney out for the season, the team can’t rely on BenJarvus Green-Ellis to carry the load at running back, and thus Cassel will be asked to throw more. Similar to Ryan, he makes for a good backup or starter if you want to play matchups.
--------------------
Trent Edwards (Buffalo Bills)
The middle of the season wasn’t too kind to Buffalo Bills quarterback Trent Edwards, but things are looking up now. The Bills have remaining games against defenses weak in the secondary, like Cleveland, Kansas City, San Francisco, and Denver. The Week 16 game against Denver could score a lot of points for those still in the playoffs at that point.
--------------------
Tyler Thigpen (Kansas City Chiefs)
Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Tyler Thigpen had some atrocious performances in the beginning of the season. Something happened when he became the starter for the second time this season, because he’s recorded three straight 20-point games. He has games remaining against weak defenses like New Orleans, Oakland, Denver, San Diego, and Cincinnati.
--------------------
Brady Quinn (Cleveland Browns)
Cleveland Browns quarterback Brady Quinn had to wait through 25 regular season games before getting his first start but, the Notre Dame graduate proved he was worth a first-round pick.
Against the Broncos, Quinn was 23-of-35 for 239 yards with two touchdowns and no interceptions. He has some tough defenses to face the rest of the season, but if he continues to play like he did against Denver, then he’s definitely worth picking up.
