Oakland Raiders, and Media Bias: No Such Thing As a Positive Comment?
Ok students, listen up. Today's project: focusing on media and the bias that exists.
For today's example, let's look at DeAngelo Hall, formerly of the Oakland Raiders.
Hall, a two-time pro bowler, was recently cut from the Raiders. In the media, it was reported to be a bad move, by one of the team's best players.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
What?
Now, someone go back to the time of the NFL Draft. We had just recently landed DeAngelo Hall. More often than not, the pundits would say, Hall is over-rated, a legend in his own mind, or even, he just wishes he could be Deion Sanders.
Now that he's been given his walking papers, the pundits are saying that Hall was a great player, and that this action just shows the dysfunctional nature of the Raiders.
Funny. Ok, if he's so great, why out of 66 passes, did he gave up 40 catches? Or over 500 yards? And was, by ranking, the third-worst CB in the NFL?
A great player?
Not for Oakland.
A second case of bias, might be bought from the halls of the NFL network and Brian Baldinger, a truly classless fellow. In berating a Raider fan from England, he overstepped his lines, and let his personal hatred overshoot unbiased opinion.
This isn't anything new for Brian "Bigmouth" Baldinger. But when you are employed by a media outlet, such outbursts would not normally be tolerated.
But then, this is the NFL Network. If you do a little research, being Anti-Raider will usually land you a job in short order. It makes me wonder why Michael Silver hasn't been given the key to the city yet.
Lastly, is the case of the misleading stats.
Time and again we hear how bad Oakland is, how dysfunctional Oakland is.
Funny, how did they win 2 games?
Heck, you could look across the Bay too. They fire one coach, and the new one can't figure out the dress code.
Oakland has issues with injuries, coaching, and an Owner.
But they somehow win games off and on.
Sure, history is history.
But when your team gets to 400 wins, is the 2nd best team in wins since 1960, and has a ton of Hall of Famers...what's it take to get some love from the media?
Hell freezing over?
