Projecting Every NFL Team's Starting Lineup 🔮

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Several weeks back I reported about the Browns not willing to trade Brady Quinn, and mentioned that it was just a matter of time before Derek Anderson would be benched for him.
Today that finally happened. It took a little longer than I thought, but it finally has come to fruition. There will be more on Brady below.
Start of the Week:
This off-season there was a media circus that surrounded Brett Favre. He retired, then un-retired then he wanted to play. Then, Packers General Manager Ted Thompson doesn’t want him—so he left for the Jets. Will Aaron Rodgers be able to replace Favre?
Through all this, it was an afterthought that the Jets released persona non-grata Chad Pennington. It was also a mini-blip when Bill Parcells signed him.
For the last month, Pennington has put up solid numbers with at least 250 yards in those games. He was kept without a touchdown pass last week but he did score in the other three games.
This week the Dolphins will be facing the Seahawks. Seattle has been giving up an average of 19.3 fantasy points a game in yardage leagues over the last three weeks. This is a good position for Pennington to be in. Look for him to be a good QB play this week...
QBs to start:
Detroit has played slightly worse the last few weeks versus quarterbacks. But despite the sudden burst of competitiveness, the Lions should allow David Garrard to make plays this week so he should be in most lineups.
Shaun Hill is now the QB in San Francisco. Hill used the 49ers bye week to become more accustomed to the first team. Meanwhile, Arizona has only half of a game tape of Hill. Did we also mention that Arizona has been giving up an average of 18.8 fantasy points to quarterbacks all season, and 18.2 points over the last two games?
You know the Cards will put up points and San Francisco will have to throw to keep up. This game sets up well for Hill to have a good outing.
Following the same line of thinking—Derek Anderson has been benched for Brady Quinn . There is no game tape on Quinn. Denver has a better secondary, even with Champ Bailey hurt. And Denver’s horrid run defense could limit Quinn’s throws, but even so he will have play-makers at receiver. He's a deep sleeper QB this week.
RBs to start:
Chicago has been a little more vulnerable to running backs lately. Their vulnerability has been rushing touchdowns, while giving up about 100 rushing yards per game. There has been a lot of love for Chris Johnson in this column but he is not the running back you want to start versus the Bears this week. Look for LenDale White to score a short touchdown and maybe even put up two scores this week.
There are good things going on in Arizona this year. One of them, newly installed Tim Hightower, should do well this week again versus San Francisco.
Kansas City is negligible this week as the Chiefs play San Diego. LaDainian Tomlinson, as long as he is healthy, is a must start week in and week out—this is a gimme and will not count towards my scoring next week.
Carolina draws the Raiders this week but who is the better play DeAngelo Williams or Jonathan Stewart ?
Over the last three games the Raiders have given up primarily rushing yardage points. Look for DeAngelo Williams to have the better game while Stewart gets a goal line touchdown. Start Williams and use Stewart if you need a bye week replacement.
WRs to start:
San Diego is ranked 26th in fantasy points allowed to wide receivers. Look for Dwayne Bowe to cross over from the sit list to the start side this week.
Take Lee Evans and the points he will give you this week. He plays New England and their secondary is hurting. They give up 200 yards a game to wide outs and a touchdown a week. Buffalo's peripheral wide outs are not sufficient enough to cut into Evans stats.
Chicago has given up...
