Impressed/Depressed/Unmoved: Week 10 of the CFB Season
North America’s take on Week 10 of the college football season:
IMPRESSED
Texas Tech/Texas
A stunning comeback, two monstrous mistakes right at the end, and non-stop excitement showed why both teams are amongst college football’s elite this year.
Graham Harrell and Colt McCoy will both play in the NFL—as will Jordan Shipley and THAT MAN Michael Crabtree.
Next up for Tech? The offensive-minded Oklahoma State. Expect fireworks in Lubbock this Saturday, too.
Big Ten
What a weekend of finishes in the Big Ten. Who says the conference is boring? Well, for great finishes the Big Ten left the SEC in its wake. Want a hook-and-ladder? Then watch Purdue-Michigan.
Last second field goals? See Illinois-Iowa and Michigan State-Wisconsin for details.
Monster interception? Northwestern-Minnesota.
Upset central? Central Michigan winning at Indiana.
Penn State and Ohio State were both off, by the way.
Florida
Gators take Georgia behind the woodshed with a 49-10 victory. Now, about that Ole Miss loss…
Baylor
I thought that Missouri would beat the Bears by 40. But it was much closer than that with the Tigers eking out a 41-38 victory.
UNMOVED
Pittsburgh/Notre Dame
What a wonderful, wonderful game. No style points for execution during overtime periods, but cracking drama during this four-overtime slugfest.
Pitt won by the way, 36-33.
Alabama/USC
Well done! You guys won against two crappy teams!
DEPRESSED
The State of Washington
Here are the combined scores for Washington and Washington State on Week 10. For: 0 Against: 114. And Washington State’s loss was against STANFORD.
Auburn
A bad season just got worse with a loss at Ole Miss.
Tennessee
The 27-6 loss to South Carolina was the final nail in the coffin for coach Phil Fulmer. How ironic is it that the person who helped to hammer that nail was nemesis Steve Spurrier?
