As Voted on by the General Managers
A vote was taken and although not every manager participated, there were enough votes to settle upon these decisions:
1. All returning managers next season will get to choose six players from their roster at season's end to keep for the upcoming season. The rest of the players will be drafted.
2. The draft order for next season will be partially based on how teams finish. To prevent an intentional tanking, teams that finish from 11-14 will be put into a draft lottery to decide who gets the top four picks. Teams that finish 1-10 will be draft in the reverse order in which they finish.
3. If a general manager chooses to not return next season, it opens the door for a new Bleacher Report hockey writer to join. However, they will inherit the team of the manager that left and just as mentioned in the first statement, the six best players will be chosen for that manager to inherit.
Quotables
In response to his goaltending situation and recent trade with Greg Caggiano, Ken Armer had this to say, "My goaltending went in the toiler ever since Manny Legace chose to trip on a rug...seriously, a rug! That and Mike Ribeiro and Andy McDonald have put up similar numbers which shows good things so far." In response to the trade he made with Alan Bass in the offseason when he dealt Simon Gagne, he said, "Why the f*ck did I trade Simon Gagne. F*ck!"
