Brazilian Grand Prix: Drivers' Days in One Sentence.

Adam FlinnNov 2, 2008

Britain held its breath. Brazil held its breath. The last two laps went past, the rain came down, and Felipe Massa celebrated the thought of a world championship. However, Hamilton sailed past a slowing Glock and stole the championship back. He looked like he'd blown it, but Lewis Hamilton is the 2008 FIA Formula 1 World Champion, much to my annoyance!

Felipe Massa: He couldn't have done any better, and it's easy to forget that this was one of his best wins to date.

Fernando Alonso: A good strategy in the first stop allowed him to leap frog several drivers, and he was rewarded with a stunning second place.

Kimi Raikkonen: He did what he had to do, and managed to get third position in the championship and the race.

Sebastian Vettel: A brilliant drive saw him get in front of Hamilton in the closing stages; he leaves Toro Rosso with some well earned points.

Lewis Hamilton: He came so close to throwing it away again, but did just enough to take the world championship.

Timo Glock: Who would have thought he would have such a pivotal role in this year's championship?

Heikki Kovalainen: He went backwards at the beginning and wasn't able to recover.

Jarno Trulli: Pitting too late and almost crashing out led to Jarno's good grid position going to waste.

Mark Webber: He just missed out on a scoring position, despite running in the points during the race.

Nick Heidfeld: In an uneventful and disappointing day for the entire BMW Sauber team, Nick only just held his teammate and finished out of the points.

Robert Kubica: A bad tire decision at the start put him at the back, and he could get back to 11th.

Nico Rosberg: Apart from contact David Coulthard, he didn't feature in the race.

Jenson Button: At least he managed to get ahead of Rubens.

Sebastien Bourdais: Being forced off the track by Trulli ruined any hopes of a decent finish.

Rubens Barrichello: He had a good start, but went backwards through the race.

Adrian Sutil: He managed to beat Fisichella in a solid race for the German.

Kazuki Nakajima: After being thrown in the air by DC, he was unable to make up any positions.

Giancarlo Fisichella: After running very strongly due to a good strategy, he must be very disappointed to finish last.

Nelson Piquet: In typical fashion, he crashed out on lap one.

David Coulthard: His farewell to F1 lasted just one corner, and he must be disappointed after being punted out by Rosberg.
