Geovanni obliged with the resulting spot-kick to make it 4-3.

Wayne Rooney had a frustrating game, Carlos Tevez was introduced in the second half, while Cristiano Ronaldo's brace takes him to 99 goals for the Red Devils.

Manchester United are now third in the table, 21 points from 10 games while Liverpool and Chelsea are level with 26 from 11.

Another shock was seen at White Hart Lane as Harry Redknapp continued the mega Spurs revival with a stunning 2-1 victory over leaders, Liverpool—Ramon Pavlyuchenko scored the injury time winner.

West Ham played out a 1-1 draw against Boro, Blackburn's Keith Andrews stole a point in their 2-2 draw with West Brom as Everton's Louis Saha got his first goal in a 1-0 victory.
