Arsenal Transfer Issue: Does Wenger Need to Sell Anyone?
2010/2011 has become an immensely disappointing campaign for Arsenal, after a horrific last three months the Gunners season has diminished incredibly after appearing as the North London giants notorious five season trophy drought was set to erode.
However, after Wenger's side endured defeat in the Carling Cup final, which left a strong psychological scar on the Frenchman's young squad, Arsenal have been exposed as a feeble outfit who cannot cope with certain aspects of the game.

In truth, although the season is destined to conclude without the satisfaction of silverware, there have been numerous positives throughout the season which only strengthen the Gunners.
However, the need for success has intensified immensely and fans and critics alike believe the only way Wenger can eradicate his internal problems is by selling and buying during the up coming Summer Transfer Window.
It is true that with the increasing transfer dominance of Arsenal's rivals, Wenger needs to implement one or two quality signings, primarily defensive, in order to strengthen his title challenge for 2011/2012.
However, there have been many calls for a number of players to be sold by the French tactitian, which has raised the question: Does Wenger need to sell anyone?
Wenger is not an avid seller which is what makes him such a strong manager, many will disagree. Rarely does he enforce huge changes to his sides, believing in his players regardless of their recent performances as the Frenchman aims to develop and develop.
The Arsenal manager has endured a tough season in which a number of squad players simply haven't performed either. Arsenal easily boast one of the strongest starting XI in World Football, but their depth and fringe players have come under question after injuries hit some key players during recent months and their replacements just didn't perform.
But does anyone need to depart the Emirates?
Brazilian midfielder Denilson, Czech play maker Tomas Rosicky, Russian dynamo Andrei Arshavin, Danish striker Nicklas Bendtner and much loved Ivorian Emmanuel Eboue are a handful of players who have been scrutinized this season and many of the Arsenal faithful are keen to see them depart.
However, all mentioned are strong players and despite the tragedy of the season, Wenger still has an immensely talented and capable squad at his disposal. The Frenchman requires a big squad. The Gunners performed in 58 matches this season and the amount of injuries that materialized was outstanding.
There is no denying that it is officially do or die for the North London club next season and Wenger needs to tell the players that everybody week in week out is fighting for their place and if one does not perform they don't play.
With the UEFA Champions League, League Cup and FA Cup alongside the English Premier League, greater squad rotation will single handily reduce the injury woes that Arsenal boast.
Although some players may detest the fact that their playing time will diminish greatly, it will certainly boast the need to perform consistently for the Gunners.
