Broncos @ Patriots Preview: Broncos Should Get Boost With Healing Injuries
It's a Monday Night showdown for the ages: Broncos at Patriots. The Denver Broncos (4-2) are looking like a team on the rise while the New England Patriots (3-2) appear to be on the decline. Both teams have been a bit inconsistent in 2008, so which teams will show up on Monday night?
Denver quarterback Jay Cutler has struggled lately compared to his quick start to the season, and it figures to get much better for him this Monday as he gets a boost from the return of rookie standout, wide receiver Eddie Royal.
In both games where Royal has made an early exit, Cutler has forced the ball to his prime target Brandon Marshall, sometimes resulting in awkward throws or even interceptions. With Royal in the game, Cutler has another option that defenses have to game plan for.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
New England has had a very mediocre start from longtime backup Matt Cassel. Still yet, with great coaching the Patriots have found a way to be in second place after five games.
The Patriots gave up 134 yards on five catches to San Diego wideout Vincent Jackson, and exploited their inability to defend the deep pass. I expect Denver to take advantage of this in a similar way with Brandon Marshall.
Look for the Patriots to utilize the screen pass early and often in this game, as Denver has shown it has a tough time defending it.
Key to Victory for Denver
Use the big play. Exploit New England's secondary with play action, deep passes, and screens. Cutler will be able to use the Broncos' patented play action boot to exploit a weak Patriot pass rush (seven sacks).
X Factor
Broncos running back Michael Pittman: If Pittman and the Broncos can establish the run game to set up play-fakes, it could be a long day for New England.
Prediction
I think Denver will overwhelm New England in this game similar to what the Chargers did last week. Cutler will benefit greatly from the health of Royal, Young, and Scheffler.
