Wenger's Transfer Prospects: Is Roy Hodgson Ending Carlos Vela's Arsenal Career
Since Arsene Wenger began his tenure at Arsenal in 1996, the Gunners have become renowned for their exciting array of young talent that floods through their academy, youth and reserve teams.
Wenger is an expert and ensuring the transition from promising potential to a frequent first team is completed to near perfection, which is why the Frenchman insists on sending every youngster capable of a professional career indulges in at least one loan spell.
Primarily the young guns experience monthly stints in the English lower league, which enables their fresh faced excitement to experience a new level of professionalism that is so distinctly absent in reserves.

Alongside enduring the added physical dimension, bigger crowds and new managers, youngsters can develop at a rapid rate or expose them for what their really worth.
Loan spells have been hugely beneficial for Wenger since his era blossomed. Ashley Cole flourished in a short stint with Crystal Palace in 1999/2000 before becoming one of strongest left backs in World Football.
Current teenage sensation gained immense value from a last season spell with Bolton whilst English international Kieran Gibbs thrived with Norwich City in 2007/2008 and up coming stars Henri Lansbury and Kyle Bartley have both excelled in recent months whilst in the Championship and Scottish Premier League respectively.
This season, Wenger currently has 15 players on loan, predominantly in England but a handful have departed to parts of Europe due to work permit issues. Arguably, one of the spells fans and Wenger alike would be eager to view is Carlos Vela.
Technically not considered an Arsenal youngster despite being 22 year of age, the Mexican joined Premier League side West Bromwich Albion on loan on the final stages of the January transfer window. A promising striker, Vela had failed to gain consistent playing time under Wenger despite being occassionally brilliant.
With a star studded attacking line, it is not easy to recieve solid playing time as a developing striker, The Mexican international joined the Baggies due to the presence of Robert Di Matteo.
Unfortunately for Vela, shortly after moving to the Hawthorns, Di Matteo was sacked as manager.
Di Matteo's attacking mind set along with his respect for Vela resulted in the Arsenal startlet deciding to join West Browich Albion, snubbing the likes of Bolton and Fulham. New manager Roy Hogdson has implemented a new physical, defensive aspect to Albion, which unlike Di Matteo's play, does not benefit Vela.
Vela has made four appearances since February under Hodgson despite scoring twice, both injury time equalizers. The spell was implemented by Wenger to ensure his Mexican sharp shooter saw an increase in playing time yet it if anything Vela is receiving less than at the Emirates.
The 22 year old is scheduled to remain with Albion to the conclusion of the season but it raises the question does Wenger need to recall Carlos Vela?
With Vela's future at Arsenal uncertain regardless, a number of La Liga sides are keen to add Vela to their roster.
With Roy Hodgson refusing to play the Mexican international, could this end Carlos Vela's Arsenal career.
