
English Premier League Power Rankings: Week 30
This week in the Premier League, Manchester United cruised to victory while Arsenal kept pace with a win of their own over Blackpool.
Manchester City once again could not perform in the big game as they lost to Liverpool on Monday.
In the relegation battle, West Brom won again to boost them up to 10th in the table, while Sunderland may join the relegation fight as they are down to 13th place.
West Ham, Wolves, Wigan and Blackpool all lost this week and they are close to making it just a four-club fight to stay up in the Premier League.
20. Blackpool (20)

Blackpool were dominated by Arsenal at home on Saturday at Bloomfield Road.
The Tangerines have not won in five games and are one spot above the relegation zone in 17th place.
A big relegation battle is coming up for Ian Holloway's club as they host Wigan on Saturday.
19. Wolverhampton (19)

Wolves gave up three early goals to Everton on Saturday and were unable to comeback.
Stuck down in 19th place, Wolves will not have a game next weekend because their opponent, Stoke, is in the FA Cup semifinals next weekend.
The next game for the club will be in two weeks against Fulham at the Molineux Stadium.
18. West Ham (17)

West Ham suffered the same result as their relegation rivals, but they lost on the road at the Reebok Stadium.
The loss continued the Hammers three game losing streak and has them still in the relegation zone at 18th place.
Avram Grant and company will look to get back on track against Aston Villa on Saturday at home at Upton Park.
17. Sunderland (18)

Sunderland's lead was taken away as they fell 3-2 to West Brom as their struggles continue.
The loss extended the Black Cats' eight-game winless streak, and they are now down to 13th in the table, right above the set of teams battling for relegation.
With games against West Ham, Wolves and Wigan still left in the season, Sunderland could be drug into the relegation battle.
16. Wigan (15)

Wigan only gave up one goal to Chelsea but were unable to get any goals of their own at Stamford Bridge on Saturday.
The Latics are stuck in last place on 31 points and are now almost set to be in the Championship next season.
Next up for the Latics is a crucial relegation battle at Blackpool on Saturday.
15. Newcastle (12)

Newcastle lost on Sunday to Aston Villa at Villa Park.
The loss did not effect the Magpies' standing as they stay in ninth place with 39 points.
Alan Pardew and company have the weekend off before hosting Manchester United on Tuesday at St. James' Park.
14. Blackburn (16)

David Hoilett netted his fourth goal of the season as his equalizer earned Rovers a 1-1 draw with Birmingham.
The draw is the third straight for the club and fourth in six games as they hover above the relegation zone in 15th place.
The rest of the schedule is a bit difficult for Steve Kean's club as they have to face Everton, Bolton and both Manchester clubs in four of their final six.
13. Birmingham (14)

Lee Bowyer's 32nd minute goal was the only goal the Blues could manage in their 1-1 draw at Blackburn on Saturday.
The Blues look like they have righted the ship and will avoid relegation zone as they have gotten points in three out of their last four games.
The Blues will face struggling Sunderland at St. Andrews' Stadium on Saturday before their Wednesday match at Chelsea.
12. Aston Villa (13)

James Collins' 24th-minute goal gave Villa a 1-0 win over Newcastle on Sunday at Villa Park.
Villa's ninth win of the season puts them at 37 points and in 14th place ahead of trip to West Ham on Saturday.
11. Stoke (8)

Stoke lost a five-goal-first-half shootout to Tottenham on Saturday.
Matthew Etherington and Kenwyne Jones scored for the Potters at White Hart Lane in the loss.
Tony Pulis and company head to Wembley on Sunday to face Bolton in the FA Cup semifinals.
10. West Brom (11)

Peter Odemwingie, Youssuf Mulumbu and Paul Scharner all scored in West Brom's big road win at Sunderland on Saturday.
All of a sudden, the Baggies are now in 10th place after getting points in seven straight games.
It appears that Roy Hodgson has worked his magic again and will keep the Baggies up in the Premier League for 2011.
9. Fulham (5)

Fulham's trip up to Manchester was all for naught as they were taken down 2-0 at Old Trafford.
The loss puts the Cottagers down to 11th place ahead of their trip to Wolves in two weeks.
8. Manchester City (2)

Manchester City looked bad against another top club on Monday against Liverpool.
The loss comes weeks after a defeat to Chelsea and only five days before the Manchester derby at Wembley on Saturday in the FA Cup semifinals.
7. Bolton (10)

Daniel Sturridge continued his impressive form on loan at the Reebok Stadium as he scored twice in the Trotters' 3-0 win over West Ham.
Sturridge now has six goals for Owen Coyle's club since being loaned from Chelsea in January.
The eighth-placed club in the table will now head to Wembley to face Stoke on Sunday in the FA Cup semifinals.
6. Liverpool (9)

Andy Carroll struck twice at Anfield to beat Manchester City on Monday night.
Dirk Kuyt also added a goal to add to the 3-0 win.
Another big match awaits Kenny Dalglish's club as they go to London to face Arsenal on Sunday as they still chase Tottenham for fifth place.
5. Arsenal (7)

Arsenal got out of their slump at Bloomfield Road on Sunday as they took down Blackpool 3-1.
Abou Diaby, Emmanuel Eboue and Robin van Persie ended the three-game winless streak for the Gunners.
The next week is big for the second place club as they face Liverpool on Sunday and then Tottenham next Wednesday at White Hart Lane.
4. Tottenham (6)

Peter Crouch and Luka Modric powered Spurs past Stoke on Saturday to end their two-game goalless drought.
Crouch's third and fourth league goals of the season gave Spurs the first lead off the game and the game winner.
Now, Harry Redknapp and company get to face Real Madrid at White Hart Lane on Wednesday before their trip to Arsenal a week after their clash with Real.
3. Everton (4)

A big first half guided the Toffees to victory on Saturday against Wolves.
Jermaine Beckford, Phil Neville and Diniyar Bilyaletdinov all found the back of the net at the Molineux Stadium.
David Moyes has quietly guided his club up to seventh place after a horrible start that had them stuck in the bottom three at points.
2. Chelsea (3)

All Chelsea needed on Saturday was a goal from Flourent Malouda to beat Wigan at Stamford Bridge.
While the Blues are still waiting for Fernando Torres to score a goal, Malouda netted his 10th of the season.
Chelsea now head to Old Trafford to try to avenge their loss in the first leg of the Champions League quarterfinals on Tuesday.

Dimitar Berbatov and Antonio Valencia both scored a goal in the 2-0 win.
Two big matches are ahead in the week for the Red Devils as they host Chelsea in the Champions League on Tuesday and then take on rivals Manchester City at Wembley in FA Cup semifinals on Saturday.
