Euro 2012 Preview: John Terry Set To Start Second Stint as England's Captain
Wales vs England
Gary Speed will be taking charge of his first competitive game as the Wales coach against England, hoping to spot the perfect record of Fabio Capello's men so far in the Euro 2012 qualifier campaign.
Wales have an exactly opposite record to England, having lost all of their qualifying matches, which has culminated in John Toshack leaving his position.
Gary Speed will undoubtedly know that it is going to be a Herculean task to get anything out of the match against England given their recent struggles. Wales have lost all of their last four matches and have scored just one goal in the process.
So far, they are yet to win in their group. Their chances of getting anything against England have been scuppered after the loss of Gareth Bale to injury.
The injury to Gareth Bale will mean that Speed will have to do without his star midfielder. John Terry will be leading England once again after more than a year out of the captaincy.
All the eyes of the media will be on Terry hoping to take advantage of any misdemeanour or clanger are during the match. He will be partnered alongside Matthew Upson, while Andy Carroll is expected to partner Wayne Rooney up front.
Germany vs Kazakhstan
Germany will be facing Kazakhstan looking to extend their run at the top of the table, which has seen them collect the maximum points up until now. Kazakhstan, on the other hand, are standing down at the foot of the table having lost all of their matches without exception.
In fact, they are yet to score a goal in their campaign. It is this dismal form that has resulted in the appointment of new coach Miroslav Beranek. He will be facing a tough task on his hands given that the draw against Belarus in their last friendly was the only match that they did not lose in their last six matches.
It certainly does not make good reading for Kazakhstan fans, but it will be music to the ears of Germany who have been rolling on, despite the in-house problems with Philipp Lahm and Michael Ballack.
Joachim Loew's decision to extend his contract till the 2014 World Cup is something that is expected to boost Germany significantly, which is more bad news for Kazakhstan. However, they will be hoping that the new coach effect will help them tide over this impressive German side.
