TNA News: Hulk Hogan Apologizes for Tsunami Remark
According to prowrestling.com, last Monday's Impact taping featured a promo that had some fans upset. Of course, Hulk Hogan was the face of the infamous promo.
Hogan said, "Members of the TNA roster want to join [his] tsunami of wrestling," which has been deemed insensitive in light of recent events in Japan.
This bad press prompted Hogan to take to his twitter. There he wrote, "The tsunami of wrestling wasn't cool, it will never air, it's already cut out, but when your cuttin promos old school and not following a Script like the other robots will no skills, sometimes you make mistakes."
Hogan added, "I'm sorry, I was on a roll and made a mistake. nothing but love and Total respect for Japan, but you guys already know that. I totally apologize. keepin it real HH4Life. Much respect, love for Japan HH."
After Victory Road, TNA doesn't need more heat on them. Granted, this was not the worst thing to come from the talent end of the company. However, management has got to reel them in and get everyone on the same page. As they are just weeks away from Lockdown, which happens to be one of their biggest pay-per-views.
Let's face it, they can't afford to lose more viewers.
In order to win some fans back, it may make sense to discount the cost of the pay-per-view. Especially since most TNA fans agree that Lockdown needs to be huge for the company to survive.
As for Hogan, his "immortal" image tarnishes more and more as he continues to talk.
