The Football Association (FA) has charged the Queens Park Rangers and their chairman, Gianni Paladini, with violations regarding the contract rights of Alejandro Faurlin.

1. Failure to notify the FA of the agreement (and existence of the agreement) between Faurlin and QPR.

2. Providing false information related to the contract extension of Faurlin by the team. The FA has not elaborated on this charge.

3. Use of an unauthorized agent (third party) during the transaction between Faurlin and QPR.

Paladini and QPR issued a press statement denying any wrongdoing while cooperating with the investigation initiated by the FA.

They also requested a formal hearing before the governing body of the FA. The reason is the possibility of point deductions or a fine if found guilty.

The consequences of a fine or deduction in points could put the possibility of a return to the Premier League in jeopardy.

It remains to be seen how this will transpire.
